"Everything I do, I do it with a passion. If I gotta be a bitch, Imma be a bad one."

UPTOWN"You're gonna change in life. You cannot be the same person for the rest of your life," Ailani advised as she counts her money, per usual.
All of her life, she was interested in gangs and the drug-dealing business. While she was growing up, she would play video games such as Grand Theft Auto or Urban Reign. As cliché as it seems, Ailani wasn't interested in Barbie dolls or playing dress up; however, she did love makeup and modern fashion.
The fascination of gangs and drugs came from her father's way of life. While she was younger, her dad would often take her to meetings that are held at the "Trap House." Some may say that he was an awful parent for taking her around that environment, but he didn't care. He believed in pursuing your dreams, and if you wanted to be a stripper, you better shake your ass like your life depended on it.
"But why? You hear so many bitches hollerin' that their friends are fake, and that's because they changed," An associate, Ashanti argues.
Ailani liked to refer to people as associates. She wouldn't get close to many people because she knew that they would only leave soon. As her father once told her,
"Some people are going to leave, but that's not the end of your story. That's the end of their part in your story."
She cherished those words close as if they were her favorite pair of shoes.
"Listen, Ashanti. If you don't learn from the shit that you go through, then you got a problem. Shit changes people; you can't prevent that," Ailani asserted, giving her direct eye contact.
Ashanti huffs in defeat and crosses her arms, "All I'm saying is the bitch is fake, like them damn bags she be sportin'."
This made Ailani laugh softly. She never understood why females would talk about each other. It only shows how much you study them. She would never stoop low enough to speak of a female, but she would let them talk about her. As long as she was looking good while they were talking about her, she was all right.
Her mother wasn't around, seeing as she left when she was convinced that her father wasn't leaving the business unless it was through death. She was also mad that Ailani wanted to be around her dad instead of staying home and learning the basic things a woman needed to know how to do. She didn't have a brother, but she had a sister. Her sister had passed away in a gunning accident which made her more determined to seek revenge. She wanted to avenge her father and her sister, that and to get money was all that was on her mind.
"You know, they're saying that love is still in the air," Ashanti cooed.
"I'm holding my fucking breath," Ailani sneered, and Ashanti laughed. She began wondering what the hell was funny because she was serious. Ailani grew into a "fuck-love" mindset. She felt like most niggas will date a girl, and that'll add on to the list of promises he couldn't keep. She had her reasons for this, though.
"What the fuck is this, Jaleel?!" Ailani seethed, pointing at the girls and her boyfriend who were getting cozy.
"I don't know who you are, but you look beautiful," he states, as he pretended he had no clue who she was.
She was currently dressed in a baby pink latex dress that hugged her curves and complimented her chocolate skin. She finished her look with pink furry heels and a pair of pink heart glasses to match. To say she stood out was an understatement.
She scoffed at him as he let out a chuckle. The blunt in his mouth suited his asshole look that he was giving off. She didn't let this ruin her night, though because it was his loss. She knew she looked good and she was going to take advantage of it.
"What's funny?" She asked.
Ashanti immediately stopped laughing and looked around awkwardly, "it wasn't a joke?"
This dumb ass bitch right here. Apparently not if I wasn't laughing.
Ailani pushed away her thoughts and kept a straight face, "No."
This made Ashanti roll her eyes and frown. She didn't know why Ailani was so hostile; maybe it was only in her nature.
"Just because Jaleel disowned you, doesn't mean you just give up on love," Ashanti says and sighs dramatically.
"And just because Daniel left you for his wife and five kids-" Ailani was cut off, she hated being cut off.
"Too far bitch," Ashanti laughed.
Ailani let out a mocking giggle and get up from where she was currently seated.
"Where you going?" Ashanti questioned.
"To find your baby daddy."
That was the last thing she had said before she left, recounting her money to make sure she had the amount she came there with. Walking confidently, Ailani exited the average house and climbed into her vehicle.
"Wait, girl!" Ashanti yelled as she ran towards her car with her toddler on her hip.
Ailani looked at her and drove off slowly before stopping. When Ashanti would reach for the door handle, she would repeat this. She laughed at the mother's face and rolled down the window.
"What the hell do you want?" she asked.
"Can you take me to downtown? Please," Ashanti pleaded.
