I guess my mom called the school and had a deep conversation with the principal because she called Alex's dad and asked if we could have a dinner together to clear up some of the problems between both families and the worst part is she called my dad 😪 he's always on me about getting good grades and keeping up with football so this situation might get me grounded for a year.
I was in my room laying on GE bed throwing the football in the air and catching it again the I heard my mom saying I should start getting ready cause we're about to leave to Alex's house, Mt my moms gonna pick up dad from the airport on the way.
I got my suit out and hung it on the hook on the back of the bathroom door and did my hygiene routine.
I was busy combing through my hair by the time my mom called again, I grabbed my phone and wallet and closed the door behind me.
I walked down the spiral of stairs to meet my mom at the door ,it's been a while since I've seen her dressed up this elegant she probably wants to impress them😌. We left on our way to the airport, I sat in the back with my earphones in because I didn't feel like hearing any of their voices tonight.
Nick's P. O. V
Tonight wasn't a night for anyone especially me ,I'm still mad at Alex for letting them treat her like that and Jordan for not being a friend and telling me. I mean come on bruh we've been best friends since kindergarten but I need to express my self and speak how I truly feel about this situation.
I went to check on Alex and she was already dressed..... (I haven't even taken a shower yet😒) she's doesn't look depressed so this is my chance to apologize.
N:hey..
A:hi....
N: ummm.. Can I just say I'm sorry for not defending you today at lunch I don't know what was going through me but for some reason I thought u deserved it *Alex looks taken back*...wait no that's not what I meant ..u-u look *sigh* u know I'm sorry right??
A:errmm.. I don't know nick do u mean it, y would u think I deserved something like that??
N: *silence* I don't know, I just had a guy feeling that it was true plus Jordan's a player do something like that was likely to happen ..i mean u knew he was attracted to you.. I'm just gonna go get ready.
By now she was on the verge of crying and I caused that😪. I was finishing up getting ready when the door bell rang and I heard mom answer it. Alex and I were half way down the stairs when they entered the living room area I saw Jordan take a glance at Alex and I think she noticed cause she went back upstairs, I gave him a dirty look that meant something and I hope he got the message. Mom was leading them towards the dining room and I went to go get Alex . I found her in the bathroom crying ,I didn't say anything I just hushed her and told her it's gonna be okay even though feel down I knew this dinner was gonna leave some of us heartbroken and betrayed.
We went back to the dinner table and dad and Mr Coleman were having a conversation about the government and Jordan was busy on his phone while mom served the food. I put Alex beside me to sit which is beside dad but Jordan's mom interrupted and said that she can't sit there because that's my moms seat so the only space was on Jordan's left😒.

As the dinner went on it was filled laughter and light conversations between the adults while the children sat and ate quietly .
