"They're beautiful." Smiled a pale gray she-cat with dark brown speckles staring down at her four kits. "They have your beautiful eyes, Cottonwing." Replied a dark brown tom with black stripes and a black circle around his left eye. "Well they have your shiny, thick pelt, Darkfoot." Cottonwing beamed. "Do you have any names yet?" Sounded a voice behind them. "We already have names for two of them." Darkfoot glanced proudly at the smoky gray tom with a black tip on his tail. Cottonwing rested her tail on the pure white tom-kit with gray ears. "This is Snowykit." Then she pointed her claw at the light brown she-kit with a dark brown stripe wrapping around her stomach as if it was binding her pelt to her body. She stretched a. "And this is Amberkit." Cottonwing nodded at the smoky tom, then spoke. "Could you please leave us alone with our kits now? We just want to introduce ourselves." The tom nodded and backed out of the den. When the gray tom left, the small black kit with a white head stretched it's mouth wide, letting out a loud mew that echoed through the cave den. "Let's call her Echokit." Darkfoot said firmly. They glanced down at the last kit and stared at her crystal blue eyes. "Sweetkit." Cottonwing sighed, breathing in the kits sweet scent. There was a loud scraping noise as Darkfoot flattened his ears and let out an irritated grunt. They whipped their heads around, and let out a loud gasp and Darkfoot hissed as a long furred white tom stood in the entrance. His fur was long and in dirt-filled clumps and a raspy voice spoke through his cracked, stained teeth. "What lovely kits...." He smiled maliciously at the kits squirming in a pile. "You are not touching these lovely kits!" Cottonwing glared at the white tom standing there. "H-how did you get in NightClan, Falconshard!?!" Darkfoot hissed, his fur bristling and his claws digging into the cave floor. "I didn't want to miss out on the fun!" Falconshard smiled, slowly padding over to the sleeping clump of kits. Darkfoot hopped in front of him, growling, and reached his paw up ready to claw the white tom that was making his way to their kits. Falconshard glared at Darkfoot and lunged at him, scraping his claw alongside the dark tom's side. "Hey!" Darkfoot choked, slamming against the wall and closed his eyes, his body going limp. "Darkfoot!" Cottonwing meowed, running to his aid and quickly turning to Falconshard and let out a screech, lunging at him. "Don't harm my kits! I knew I was right for not accepting your mate request!" She yowled. Falconshard turned, and bit down hard on Cottonwing's shoulder. She let out a grunt and slumped to the ground, blood oozing from her wound. Falconshard turned and looked down at the kits. "These kits could've been ours.... You ruined my life..... I loved you...... I can never forgive you......" He muttered and then stuck his claw through Snowykit's ear, the kit letting out a screech, alarming his sisters. "Don't hurt him! You're an evil cat! You murdered a queen.... How can I forgive you? Put Snowykit down!!!!!" She shrieked, running over to Falconshard. The kit struggled, whimpering, then clawed Falconshard's leg. "Ow!" He hissed and flung the kit at the stone wall, everyone besides Falconshard winced and Cottonwing let out a cry, running to her kit. He laid in a pool of blood, unconscious, but still breathing very lightly. The grey tom from earlier ran into the nursery with a a pale brown she-cat holding a bundle of leaves in her jaws. She dropped it and gasped then ran to Snowykit. The grey tom ran up and clawed Falconshard's back. Falconshard growled and stuck his claw into Echokit's ear and was ready to fling her too, but her ear tore and she landed with a thump on the ground. She got up and scrambled over to her mother and Snowykit in a wail. The pale brown she-cat stared, her eyes wide, and rushed over to Darkfoot to tend to his wounds. Cottonwing threw her head back and let out a high-pitched wail and growled at Falconshard. The grey tom started to attack Falconshard but Cottonwing pulled him away. "Pebblestar, let me handle this." She said, with a low, sad voice. She then glared at Falconshard as he tried to leap and attack Amberkit. Cottonwing jumped on his back and started to claw at his neck, and his claw missed, but still clawed through her eye and she let out a shriek and wobbled around blindly. "I won't let you kill another kit!" Cottonwing wailed, and grabbed tightly on his neck. Falconshard flung around and tried shaking her off. Then there was a loud snap. Falconshard froze and collapsed to the ground, his head turned, neck broken. Cottonwing stood up and stared wide-eyed at the body and turned to her kits. Amberkit seemed to not feel the pain anymore, or just didn't want to show it, and she was comforting Echokit and Sweetkit, licking their pelts, and pressing her nose into their fur. "Cottonwing..." The pale brown she-cat walked up to her. "Yes, Poppydust?" Cottonwing asked, her eyes filled with sadness. "It's Amberkit... She's stronger..... She's special...." Poppydust whispered glancing at the brown kit, her right eye oozing blood. "Pebblestar, bring the kits and Darkfoot to my den, I need to speak with Cottonwing..." Pebblestar nodded and ushered the kits and helped the dark tom to his paws as he brought them to the medicine den. "I know it's just random, and it might not be true, but.... I recieved a prophecy..........."
