"Nat, wake up! We have to leave in less than an hour or we're gonna be late for our interview with Fearless Records!" Payton jabbered in my ear while running around the room, a nervous ball of anxiety. "Ugh. How do you even have the energy to bother over things this early." I pulled my pillow over my head and attempted to block out my best friends chatter. "Natalee Shingler I swear by the virgin Mary if you don't get up right now I will maim you!" I rolled of my bed in a panic, landing on books and pencils in the process. "Meh. I really need to clean my room." "That you do sweetheart, that you do."

" Why is it so early, Sissy? Does the world hate me?" I grumbled sadly at the table we sat at. It was 7 am, and ungodly hour in my opinion. "The world doesn't hate you, it just dislikes you strongly for your inability to wake up in the mornings." Terrie said as she sat down, sitting an amp in front of my face. "Thank the Goddesses. I thought I was gonna have to deal with this thing alone." I glared at Payton slightly, giving her an indication that she should choose her words carefully. " Aw look! Short stuff is trying to be scary!" If looks could kill I'm sure they have all been dead ten times over for Will's last comment. " Given the fact that I'm half your height and I can still kick your ass, I'd suggest you shut your cake hole." I replied snarkily, relishing in the awakeness that amp, now half empty, had given me. Terrie and Payton giggled at Will's attempts at irritating me. " Terrie, you're sure he said this cafe, right?" Payton tapped her fingers on the table, an annoying habit that we had all grown accustom to. "Yeah, I'm sure. He said Rockies' Cafe, 8 'clock." She sighed heavily, check here watch to see that it was already 10 past 8. " Calm down. He'll come." Will said hopefully. "Let's just hope you're right Will. Let's just hope you're right."

By the time 8:45 rolled around we were all fully awake but we were none to happy. " If he doesn't show in the next ten minutes I say we bail." Payton offered a plan to us, knowing we all thought the same thing. The minutes ticked by slowly, like watching a pot to see if it'll boil faster. The bell to the Cafe door rang, alerting us of company. The company turned out to be a 30 something year old in a suit with a leather bag on his back. "OMG! I'm so sorry I'm late! My alarm clock broke so I didn't wake up until about 20 minutes ago, and..." The man continued his babble, oblivious of us staring at him in utter shock and happiness. Payton and I shared a look that only friends who shared a dream together could have, knowing that this was our time to have an adventure of our own.
