"oh hi jackson oppa! ive just
came back from my trip and i was
wondering if you have seen yugyeom?
we haven't talked since i
left a few days ago and he hasn't
contacted me."

jaehwa left a voicemail to jackson
as she soon heard a faint
knock on the door.

"oh hi jackson! why haven't-
jackson have you been crying?"

jackson's eyes were red and puffy
as he looked up at jaehwa.

"im so sorry."

he engulfed her into a hug,
with jaehwa being completely
confused.

jackson handed her the fragile
white envelope and left
without an explanation.

jaehwa set all of her things down
and sat on the couch, soon reading
the letter addressed to her.

tears constantly fell from her eyes
as she reread the letter over and over,
trying so hard to not believe it.

"why did you have to leave yugyeom!"

jaehwa slammed her fist into the
pillow next to her as a waterfall
flowed down her face.

and to make matters worse,
their most recent polaroid picture
was hidden underneath the pillow
she was punching.

jaehwa stared at the picture
as she felt a tug at her chest.

more tears spilled from her eyes
as realization hit her.

her best friend was dying. and she
didn't even realize it.

"im sorry yugyeom for not knowing.
i love you so damn much."
