Epilogue
I recovered quicker than everyone expected which was good. Every time I tried to apologize to Isabelle she would kiss me to get me to shut up. Jace and Alec managed to kill the two vampires who took me away but Raphael and Maureen got away. Hunter had to be the most adorable little thing I had ever seen, Izzy agreed. Brother Zachariah was the one to to the ceremony on Hunter and that eased my fear greatly. When Hunter was a week old we took him back to New York and we were happy until Izzy and I found a note taped to our window.
Simon and Isabelle, it read
She is coming for the three of you, Be careful.
- Raphael Santiago
"What does it mean?" Izzy asked looking up at me with wide worried eyes.
"Maureen is coming for Hunter, you and I." I sighed.
"There is no escaping us." The voice in hotel demort said in the shadows with a grin. Two other cackles sounded from the other figures in the shadows, all you could make out from the other figures were their black eyes and fair, almost white hair...
