Mitch's P.O.V.

The rest of the day flies by after Rob tells me to go home. I got a text from Adam that was just him yelling at me or being such an idiot. When are people going to understand that I regret kissing Luke?
I sit on my couch mindless browsing the Internet when my doorbell rings. I open the door and I am face to face with Luke.
"Um, hey." He says quietly. "I'm sorry about the other night. I should've pushed you away." Luke's icy blue eyes meet mine. "I should be the one saying sorry. I shouldn't have kissed you in the first place. I didn't know that my boyfriend was in town."
I invited Luke in. I needed company anyway. He's the only one that would actually take my side on things any way.
A few hours later, I found myself laughing along with Luke over stupid stories. Apparently, he has done some/witnessed stupid things.
"One time, My sister, Kylee and I were messing around outside, and we found this toy dump truck." He laughed as he spoke, "So Kylee takes the dump truck, puts it in the front yard and sits in the back. She then went down a hill and fell off the dump truck and bruised her tailbone." ((In case you're wondering, yes, I've done this and it hurts to sit down.))
Luke and I continued to laugh at each other and make jokes for a while, until we decided that we were going I watch a movie.
During the movie, I randomly started crying. I assume its because its an apocalypse movie with couples separated, so it reminds me of Jerome and I. But in our case, everyone around us represent the zombies and me kissing Luke was the virus that started it all.
It didn't take long for Luke to notice that I was crying. He allowed me to snuggle up against him and cry. He didn't care, he just sat and hugged me.

Luke's P.O.V. ((we all knew that it was coming.))

I held onto Mitch tightly as he sobbed. He must've really loved this Jerome guy. I don't understand love though. Whenever I have a crush on someone and make my move, I ruin everything. Kind if like I did with Mitch.
I just wish that Mitch would realize that I love him more than Jerome ever could. Plus I don't live in a different country.
That's right, I've only known Mitch for a few days but I love it when he smiles, or laughs. I love how his eyes sparkle even when there is darkness around him. This Jerome guy is just sucking the life out of him.
"Luke?" Mitch says in a weak voice, he looks up at me with his chocolate orbs. His eyes are red from crying though. "What're you thinking about?" he asks.
I want to tell him how amazing he is, but I know I will just tear him apart more.
"Oh nothing really." I lie and play with his messy hair. He seems to like when people mess with his hair.
"You're lying. You're thinking of something. I can tell by the way you keep biting your lip." Mitch says with a small laugh. "Tell me the truth."
"Fine. I'm thinking about how lucky Jerome was to have you. You're perfect. If I was Jerome, I would travel to the moon and back just so I could see you smile or laugh." I tell him. He just smiles and says nothing else. I wonder what he's thinking...
"What are you thinking?" I ask him. He shuts his eyes for a moment before answering. "I'm thinking about how you're the only one who has paid any attention to me. You're actually on my side. It makes me feel loved." This statement makes me blush, so I try hide it.
Honestly, I wish Mitch would realize that Jerome isn't right for him. Obviously, Mitch has been through a lot lately and just wants to feel loved. If I could call him mine, I would make sure he got that love. As they say, "We accept the love we think we deserve" ((if you know what that's from, I will love you forever.))

Jerome's P.O.V.

I spend a lot of my day wrapped in a blanket, sitting on the couch. I do nothing, I eat nothing and I say nothing. I can't even tell what I'm feeling anymore.
I eventually get and put on my hoddie and walk outside. I have no idea where I'm walking, I just walk until I feel like I'm where I need to be.
I look at my surroundings. I'm on a street and its rainy. There are houses on both sides of the steer that have lights glowing behind curtains. It is getting pretty dark I guess.
The street seems familiar. Then it hits me, I'm on Mitch's street. I'm actually standing on the side walk in front if his house. I can see that he is home because his car is there and lights are on the inside. I decide that it's time to face him. I should at least hear his side if the story.
I ring to doorbell and here the chiming. I then hear shuffles from the other side before Mitch opens the door.
"Is it the pizza???" I hear a deep voice yell from inside. "No.." Mitch replies and then steps out onto the porch, shutting the door behind him.
"Hey." He says faintly. "I'm so sorry Jerome.... I don't know what I was thinking." I hold up a hand signaling for him to shut up. "I know you are. " I tell him. "I'm sorry, too. I should've stayed and worked things out. But instead I shut everyone out."
Mitch nods. "I feel so bad." Mitch says. I can tell he is about to cry because his voice cracks. "I guess we should've stayed as friends. Thins would've gone better."
He's right in a way, but I'm not sure I could take him not knowing how I actually felt. It probably would've killed me by now.
Suddenly the door opens and I see the tall boy. "Where's my pizza?" he says in a fake whining voice. Why on earth is this idiot here?
"Oh, uh, Jerome.. this is Luke. Luke this is Jerome." Mitch says awkwardly. Luke waves but I stay still. I just raise my eyebrows a little. Instead of talking, I walk off into the rain towards Robs. I am officially done with Mitch he can't be trusted.
