Leilani because she is observant, content, and inquisitive
I did a few edits along the way but not in the end because I really wanted to publish this

The look in her eyes was the thing that scared me the most.
Not the burning pain radiating through my body. Not even Pele, the goddess of fire who was taking control of my body like a puppet master.
Leilani had always been brave.
When we still lived in Hawaii, she was always trying to protect our family, even father.
We were both too young to remember but our parents told us the story about the snake who tried to steal our food.
She had apparently cut the head off of the serpent and attempted to throw the body in the ocean. Was my twin a maniac when we were younger?
Kind of.
But now, as I look at her blank face, I realize, my sister has been at my side for seventeen years with no complaint.
Every night, she traps herself in this small room and helps me face my demons until the sun comes up and I regain control.
As I said before, her eyes scared me the most.
Leilani tends to keeps a straight face when tough times roll around. When things are safe an sound, her emotions come back like a tidal wave.
Now, she put on her warrior face and stood her ground.
But her light hazel eyes told a different story. They told of her fear. Fear of the unknown. Unknown being Pele.
And everyone knows, fire is unpredictable.

"What are you doing?"
"Homework. Stop talking and leave me alone."
"But shouldn't you be trying to entertain me? I am an unpredictable goddess! You should be on my tail 24/7!"
Leilani glanced up and stared at Pele in boredom.
"Oh, shut it. You don't intimidate me anymore."
I felt Pele smirk as she put my hands on my hips. "So you admit that you were scared of me before?" Leilani stopped writing and glared up at me.
"Yes, I admit that I was scared of you," Pele smiled in triumph, "was scared of you. Now I just see you as a 'Goddess' who threw a tantrum when she didn't get her way." I gasped because even though Leilani can't be killed by this fire, she can still be injured.
"Okay," Pele threw up my hands as if in defense, "I can tell when I'm not wanted." And then the weirdest thing happened.
All of the intense heat slowly dissipated. My temperature dropped as I fell to the floor.
