The Conference

 One day in the woods called Yogees trail. There were a two friends who would always get together and come up with ideas to make their home even more eco-friendly. There names are Leia and Gabby. Gabby was always the energetic person in the group. She has long blond hair, green eyes and was 11 years old. Leia on the other hand has dirty blond hair, she is short-ish, has a bit of energy but not nearly as much as gabby, she is 12. Leia is the leader of their group because she has had a bit more experience with climate activist.

This story starts off on a sunny day in maine. Leia and I were on the beach they were talking about how people drive their cars everyday without knowing what it is doing to this planet, bought meat and the worst of all how some of them still think that climate change this isn't human made. After a while of getting our anger out about the human race we started working on our organization that we made up. It's called E.A.C.H( Endangered Animals Conservation Help).

" Hey gabby what do you think we should do for E.A.C.H today?". Said Leia

" well remember yesterday how we talked about that my parents are going away to stop the pipeline that might be built?" replied gabby.

" ya" said Leia.

" Maybe we could figure out how you and I could stop it"?

" Ya but that would be very hard, it's our word against people with money and big corporations". Said Leia in a angry and sad way. Gabby thought for a moment to remember something she had read in one of the times for kids that her parents get for her.

" Leia, I once read about a group of kids not much older then us who sued the government for not doing there job to protect the planet" Gabby said with strength

" Really?" replied Leia with enthusiasm in her voice and sound of happiness

" Ya!" so if that group of kids can do something as big and daring as that I think you and me could stop a stupid company from taking down our woods.

The two girls started talking about how they would plan to stop the pipeline. They came to the decision that they would go with there parents to the conference. A few hours went by and It started to get darker outside the light slowly going away. Leia and Gabby headed to gabby's house so that they could talk to her parents about the plan. When they finally got there her parents were inside making dinner. When they got inside they could not wait until after dinner so they went up to Gabby's mom and started to explain their idea about how they would stop the pipeline if it were to pass. While we were explaining my mom had that look on her face saying she was proud, which made me happy. I thought for a few moments that our plan would work yet once we were done talking my mom said that this was a grown up issue, and that we should not be worried.Of course that made us worry even more and be more mad about the whole situation. My parents are strong activists( that' s were I get my passion from) so being the way I am I said that this could be my birthday present( even though my birthday isn't for another two months). After saying that my mom couldn't say no. leia and I jumped up and down with excitement. My mom started to put dinner down on the table, leia and I walked over and sat down, while discussing how the day would go. My mom made my favorite type of dinner cinnamon rice. Once my mom put the plate of food down I immediately started to eat it, like I haven't had food in years. I asked my mom when we were leaving she looked at me and said that we would leave early tomorrow because it is a while to the city. I looked over at Leia who had that sparkle in her eye every time we do something that would help the environment. She says I have the same kind of glow in my eyes when I get over excited about helping the planet too. We all kept eating. After dinner Leia and I went up to my room to start packing our stuff. She was staying with us until her parents got back from visiting their relatives. Not being one to care how I look I just threw some clothes I liked into one of our bags and called it good enough. While leia looked over all of my clothing to see what she liked and carefully picked out outfits that go together. I helped her, so the process would go faster( even if I don't like to match clothing doesn't mean I don't know how). After a while we finally finished putting together leia's clothing bag. It was around 10 '0 clock so we went to bed.
