"If we get arrested, it'll be your fault,"

Clove groaned, pushing her hair behind her shoulders.

"We're not gonna get arrested."

Basil retorted, chuckling as she brought down the ladder to the fire escape.

The cold nipped at both of their noses, but neither of them seemed to mind. Although Clove was rubbing her hands together, she was milking it to annoy Basil, who was now a few steps up, looking down at the girl.

"C'mon, we're about to miss it!'

"There's nothing to miss."

Clove began to ascend the ladder shortly after Basil, who was going slower than she would have liked, but she wanted to stay near the other. As they crested the top of the building, Basil offered her hand to help Clove, and after assisting her in coming up, she ran to the edge and sat, hanging the legs over the edge.

The shorter woman followed after, looking over the scape below them before seating herself beside Basil, who was staring at the dark blanket above them.

"This is dangerous, you know. If one of sneezes, that could be the end."

Basil hushed her softly. After a long moment, a beautiful gold began to come over the horizon, the silhouettes of the buildings contrasting against the brilliant light. Clove was struck with awe as the scene unfolded. A dumb grin was plastered onto Basil's face in seeing Clove's. She whispered, to still be able to get her point across, but not to disturb the peace.

"Told you,"

Clove chuckled and pressed a kiss to Basil's cheek. The both of them felt their face get hot, but neither seemed to mind, something as that was relished on a cold night like this. She leaned her head on Basil's shoulder. Everything was perfect.
