ANNA

Annie and Theo are truly great kids. Annie is basically a

tiny genius. Hand her anything, brain games, puzzles, she

can solve it. Theo is just, well, wierd. He will eat anything,

and whatever you tell him to do, nine times out of ten he

will do it. Mrs. and Mr. Walker are very nice people with

lovely kids. I have been taking care of the kids scince

Annie was a baby, so 8 or so years. Theo is 5, and just

started kindergarten. Even though the Walkers' are very

nice people, they are hardly there for the kids. They have

missed half of Annie's birthdays, and Theos golden. At

Annie's science fair, she built a working drone-type flying

machine. They missed it. Theo's career day with a parent

-and-child dance/party afterwards (which was pretty cool,

we had lots of fun). They missed that too.

'Ahhh!'

'What was that!' I yelled. When I got no response I started

to worry.

'Hehehehe!' I heard a small laugh from the hallway. I

peeped in, and saw Annie tickling Theo. I sighed lightly in

relief. Then I realized it was bathtime. I stomped down the

hall.
'Raaar! The bathtime monster is coming to collect you!' I

had a warm feeling inside as they ran away to the

thier room, laughing.

'Run Theo! Quick, grab your 'jammies and get into the

bathroom before she gets us!' I heard Annie squeal.

I really truly did love them. After about an hour, they were

out and dried with their pajamas on. I love Annie's

pineapples, and Theos dino's. It was about 8:30pm by the

time they were in bed. I checked back in at 9:00pmm and

they were sound asleep. I sat in the living room and

watched some tv for about thirty minutes. The Walkers'

were supposed to be here any minute now. I guess I fell

asleep, because at 2:30am, I was awoken by Mr. Walker.

'How long have you been here?' I asked mid-yawn.

'We just arrived, how long have you been sleeping?' There

was an edge In  his voice, stress, anger? No,it was definitely

drunk. Again. Mrs. Walker was a touch more decent, never

really came home drunk.

'Where is Mrs. Walker?' I asked, curious, but also a touch

concerned.

'Here, bathroom maybe?' He sounded blanked out. Not

really there. I got up real slow, yawned  stretched, then

went to check if Mrs. Walker was there. She wasnt but the

light was on, so she had been there. I then checked thier

bedroom, to then find Mr. Walker sprawled on the bed. I

was going to go home, then realized I'd been living here for

a couple weeks now. (Did i mention the Walkers are rich?).

I went to the guest bedroom, or I guess my bedroom.

almost immediately fell asleep. As I layed there, I cuddled

against he big poofy comforter they had on the bed. I fell

into a deep sleep, dreaming about Annie and Theo, when  I

was rudely interrupted by a scream. I sat up, thinking it

was a doofus outside, but I thought again, and realized that

it was Mrs. Walker. Before I was hardly out of the bed, she

came in.

'WHAT  HAVE  YOU DONE!' She yelled, facefull of gray tears.

'W-wh-what?' I exclaimed, with hints of worry, anger, and

also atouch hurt.

What have you done!' Her eyes were filled with anger and

sadness, as she repeated It one again. I checked the time,

5:45. I sighed and walked to the kids' room. I squealed at what I saw- or didn't see.
