So. Adopted! Wow, everyone else in the orphanage will be so jealous! I checked all over the room I shared with 2 other orphans my age to see if I had packed everything. Honestly, there wasn't much there as I didn't own much. Mrs White only gave the 'well behaved' people new clothes and other possessions. No, I am not one of those people.

I picked up my faded blue rucksack full of my things and jumped down the stairs, as always. Everyone looked at me oddly but sneered in jealousy when they saw Vance, Jason and the two others just behind me. 'I can't believe she was actually adopted!' I heard angry whispers all around the small orphanage. 'Why her? She's such a skank' 'I never thought the day would come' 'Isn't she the girl who has been here for the longest? I can't remember her name, she's the only one' Even these comments couldn't break my static moment of happiness- I have finally been adopted- by a rich family too!

"You want to adopt her!?" Mrs White screeched. She gave me a disgusted look so I just stuck my tounge out back. She looked offended. 'Serves her right!' I thought. "Sorry Ma'am do you love her that much? Maybe you should just adopt her instead." I gave the boy, Luke, an evil glare and he just laughed. Mrs White looked so appalled. "Fine. Here's the papers."

Vance and the woman, Jane, walked up to eachother and smiled. "Hey, look at her, don't you think she's the best?" Jason laughed and the others smiled. Well, except Mrs White who looked like she had just eaten a whole sour lemon.

I just have one more thing to do. "I'll be right back, I just need... The loo!" Vance nodded and I sprinted up the stairs. I was going to Alice's room. I knocked on the door as courtesy and waited. When she opened up she scrunched up her face and looked away. "Ew, skank touched the door. I'll need to put disinfectant on that."

I sighed. Well, what did I expect? "So what have you come here for, to say sorry for breathing? Or would you like me to reassure you for being sent back to the orphanage for being a bad, bad emo girl?" Anger built up in me. But this is what I wanted.

"Why won't you speak, because it's the truth?" I smiled. "What are you smiling for?"
"Because I'm about to break your face." I stepped forwards and rammed my fist into the top of Emily's nose, and it started bleeding. She looked dazed and took a few steps back. Shhe screamed and tried to hit back but I blocked it woth my forearm and I tripped her up. She fell with a thud and I made sure she stayed down. I kicked her. "For the times you left me out." Another kick. "For the friends you took away." I kicked her again and she stifled a scream. " FOR THE LIES YOU TOLD! " I was really mad and kicked her again "FOR THE HURT YOU CAUSED!" Before I was able to kick again, Jason grabbed me by the shoulders and dragged me back. Tears escaped my eyes and people came rushing over. People were panicking over Emily while I was being dragged away by my new family. Great first impressions, eh?

Our ride wasn't a fancy limousine at all, which I don't mind about at all; I always thought of them as cramped parties in cars. Instead there was a really cool, blood red 4-by-4 with comfy leather seats. It smelt sweet, but not sickeningly, a bit like pine trees and candy floss. Mixed. I don't know why it reminded me of that but it did!

"So Hannah. What do you think?" I was going to ask what of but stopped when I saw a beautiful mansion. I gasped, possibly a bit too loud because everyone looked around. It was kind of what you'd call white, with perfect glossed frames and it wasn't an ugly shape. Add a few fine trees and snow and it would belong on a christmas card! Come to think of it, someone had probably done that already.
