Enjoy! (And you can also stand extreme temperatures. Or, you could.)

In the plane, I learned that Apocalypse was destroyed by the Professor. I also learned that Erik helped. I'm proud of him. Then the conversation switches to me.

"What happened to you?" Jean asks. I shudder and hold back my tears.

"Apocalypse took my powers right before he was destroyed. N-Now I have to go away. I'm not special anymore." The tears overflow despite my work, and everyone hugs me. Even the Professor manages to get to me.

"Y/N, you can stay. We'll look after you and try to find a way to get your power back," I shake my head at his words. "The academy is going to be for all. You'll be safe there!" I look down sadly.

"None of the others will want me there. I have nothing to give. Other normal people have talents or are helpful. I'll only slow you down. Plus, I've always wanted to see some of the world." I dread what Hank asks next.

"What about Peter?" I let out a sob.

"Oh Hank, I can't tell him! He'd hate me! He'd breakup with me! He'd be heartbroken."

"Y/N, he loves you so much! He wouldn't ever hate you, he couldn't! He can't even be mad at you for crying out loud!" I smile lightly at that.

"But he deserves someone better. Someone who isn't helpless." Now Nightcrawler speaks.

"Y/N, even without powers you are terrifying! And you're so amazing, I promise he'll still love you!" I smile and hug him.

"Just, let me tell him. Okay?"

"Alright." Hank says.

"Sure." Jean and the Professor say.

"As you wish." Is Nightcrawler's reply. I lean back on the side of the plane, and close my eyes, thinking of how, exactly, I'm going to tell my boyfriend I'm normal.

We land and my only plan is to ask Mystique. If she doesn't disown me, that is. I find her easily and say bye to Cyclops.

"Uh, Mystique? Can I talk to you for a-" A blur speeds me away and I giggle, knowing who it is.

"Oh, I'm so glad you're safe!" Peter tells me after he puts me down. I hug him.

"I'm glad you're still in one piece!" He goes to tilt my head up, but Mystique finally catches up and drags me away. I give him an apologetic smile.

"Okay, what did you need?" I look down. Then I put my mouth to her ear and whisper the dooming words.

"I'm not a mutant anymore."

"What!?" She yells. I shush her, but everyone ignores her. They all know. Well, everyone but Peter.

"C'mon. Let's go somewhere and I'll explain everything to you." She nods and lets me lead her to my room.

~ (I'm too tired to rewrite everything again)

"Oh, Y/N!" This time I am successful at holding back tears, and she hugs me.

"I'm just worried about what Peter will do, and where I'll go." I say honestly.

"You'll stay here, for starters. And wit Peter, just tell him! He doesn't care if you have powers or not, he only cares about you and your safety. I promise, he won't be mad. Besides, if anyone can find a cure, it's Charles and Hank. Don't worry yourself too much," She helps me up off my bed. "Come on, let's go tell Speedy."

We decided that she would hide somewhere where I can see her, but she isn't right by me. I'm nervous and start running my fingers through my hair.

"Y/N, seriously. You'll be fine!" I nod and walk to Peter. He's lounging and smiles when he spots me.

"P-Peter, I have something to tell you," He looks a bit worried, and I quickly wave my hands in front of my face. "No, it's... it's okay." I drag him to a corner of the room. He finally speaks.

"Woah, woah, woah. What's this all about?" I stop and look at him, tears in my eyes once again.

"Peter, I love being a mutant. You know that better than anyone, so what I'm about to say is so hard to get out." He looks at me questioningly.

"Are you hurt?" I let out a teary laugh and shake my head.

"No, not physically," I feel the tears start. "I-I'm not a...mutant anymore. I'm normal. No super human abilities. I am so sorry." He hugs me and I'm taken aback.

"Don't apologize. Who did this to you? Are you alright?" I shrug.

"Apocalypse d-did this. I'm fine, but I feel so different, and useless...I don't like it." I look down.

"Y/N, as long as you're not hurt, I'm happy."

"But, I'm nothing now. I'm not important, or useful, or anything anymore." He tilts my head up.

"No. You are still amazing, and smart, and funny, and tough, gorgeous, caring, sweet, and gentle. I don't care if you're not a mutant, or have two heads - well, that would be both weird and awesome but that's not the point - I love you for you."

"But, don't you want someone better for you? Someone who can protect you?"

"Honey, I'm supposed to protect you. And that's what I'm going to do. Forever. I promise." And he leans in, giving me a light, sweet kiss. I return it and hug him, happy he still loves me. Then I hear the door open and in rushes the Professor. He speaks, and my heart stops.

"Y/N! We may have found a cure!"
