The brown-haired girl felt something weird
It was a feeling mostly feared...
Whenever she saw the boy (the lead)
Her heart acted very strange indeed.
It sped up and wouldn't stop until he was gone
She tried to ignore it, but before long
She had to face some hard, cold fact
She could no longer act
The boy with the boots had stolen her heart
And, boy, did it smart!
One afternoon
In the dressing room
The girl's friend came up to her and said:
"Somebody here has a crush on you, and guess what? He turned really red
When he talks about you he blushes
He's asking me to talk to you so he doesn't fail....
he wants to know what is your email!"
The girl froze up and her heartbeat sped.
"Who is the one of which my emails will be read?"
Her friends looked around, then whispered really soft
The name of the boy who held the girl's hearts aloft.
The brown haired girl, though secretly glad
Allowed her friend to think she was mad
"Don't give it to him!" she shouted and heads turned.
Though she was ecstatic about what she had earned.
Later on as he prepared to depart
She whispered her email to the boy who stole her heart.
Weeks after, the girl felt uneasy
Her stomach was getting very queasy.
The boy sent her roses and emails galore
But she didn't really want it, not anymore
It made her uncomfortable, it made her upset.
It caused her to lie in her room and to fret
She ripped up the hearts she had made
With their initials in the centers
She went on the computer and she sent out a letter
Saying that breaking up... it was for the better.
After that... she felt almost cheery
But something was missing.
The first week was bleary.
After that, she forgot about him.
And he forgot about her.
What's meant to be will always find a way.
THey'll be together again someday.
