Never Knew [Zarry AU]

14. Past - Six Months

"SIX MONTHS?!?!?!?! ARE YOU FUĆKING KIDDING ME? I CAN'T WAIT FOR SIX MONTHS, I WANT IT NOW.", Zayn yelled getting up from his seat. Harry held his hand beside him,trying to calm his 'husband' down, which surprisingly worked. Zayn took a deep breath and sat down on the chair again.

"Language man. Should have thought before getting drunk and getting married.", The laywer across them said sharply.

"Um, I'm sorry on behalf of him, sir. But isn't there any other way to get over with the divorce sooner? I mean six months is so long.", Harry asked calmly,  still rubbing soothing circles on his back. The lawyer eyed at Harry then back at Zayn. Something was strange about the couple.

"I'm afraid, no. You guys have married legally, with all the paper works and all, so it'll take time." He paused and pointed at the marriage registry papers lying on his desk. "Besides, as a divorce lawyer, I know the judge will do the same.", The lawyer said, looking straight at Harry's eyes. Harry nodded in understanding. He had seen plenty of movies to know that, what the lawyer saying, was true.

"Okay, I understand. We may leave now. Thank you sir.", Harry said politely and the lawyer nodded.

"You're welcome, hope NOT to see you here for the same reason as today.", The lawyer said cleverly making Harry more confused but he chose to ignore it. He simply nodded and dragged a fuming Zayn out of the office.

Harry was happy for an unknown reason. He was glad that for next 6months, he'd be married to Zayn. He didn't know why but he wanted to make this marriage work. He knew, it was wrong as Zayn was his soon to be step brother but now Zayn is his husband before being his step brother right? So there's nothing wrong.

His thoughts broke by Zayn harshly snatching his wrist away from Harry's hold. Harry looked around to see they had already reached the parking lot and now standing in front of Zayn's car.

"I CAN'T BE TIED DOWN FOR ANOTHER SIX MONTHS. I CAN'T GET PUNISHED FOR THE NEXT 6 MONTHS FOR ONE NIGHT OF A DRUNKEN MISTAKE.", Zayn yelled, pulling his hair out in frustration. Harry couldn't say, he didn't get hurt.

"M-Mistake?",Harry thought, looking down at his feet. His lips trembling, vice

It's now, Zayn realized that Harry was beside him. He felt guilty for yelling like that but he spoke the truth. It was a drunken mistake for him. Or so he thought?

"Harry" , Harry looked and seeing those glossy green eyes, Zayn instantly relaxed. He placed his one on Harry's cheek and wiped away the sigle drop of tear that rolled down his cheek.

"You're a good person Harry, from inside and out. I know, whoever marries you in the future, will be a really lucky lad. B-but, I can't be that lad Harry. You gotta understand, I am straight. I like girls. No, I don't have anything against gays, but I just can't. You're understanding right?", he asked calmly, Harry nodded. Though his heart hurt for some unknown reasons.

"So can we forget about this one day old stupid marriage and continue our life as before?", Zayn asked softly,and again, Harry nodded.

Though Harry knew, nothing's gonna be same again. This marriage might be stupid for Zayn, but not for him. He wanted this marriage to work, but he also knew, without the effort from the both sides, it was impossible. So he thought to do as Zayn said but how could he control his own heart and body who wants nothing but Zayn?
