A/N ~Hey guys! I hope you enjoyed the first part of this story, and I hope you will continue to read it! Thank you!
Erin took a deep breath and her smile disappeared. Sara frowned. "What's wrong?" Erin looked at Sara and weakly smiled. "Oh, nothing. I just thought, what if this Taron guy doesn't like me because of what I look like?" Sara scoffed. "Erin! He just told you that you're cute! I think that's a good sign?" "No, but, like, when I'm not wearing makeup. Or what if he notices that I'm not skinny? He'll totally ditch me." Sara rolled her eyes. "Come on, Erin, not every guy is like that. Just give him a chance, okay?" Erin nodded and walked towards the stairs. "Where you going?" Erin looked back at Sara. "The coffee shop? You wanna come?" Sara shook her head, "I have classes today, remember? Sorry dude. And, you might want a jacket and money.." Erin giggled. "Aha, I must still be starstruck or something." She walked back up the stairs and back towards the dorm. She went into the bathroom to look at her outfit. A Star Wars t-shirt and skinny jeans. Not her idea of 'cute', so she went to change. She got out a different shirt, but left the jeans on. A pretty cream blouse, and she threw a black bomber jacket over it, along with her black Nike tennis shoes. "Hey Sara! How do I look?" Sara came around the corner into Erin's room. She gasped. "Wow. You look great." Erin bit her lip, "really?" Sara came to Erin and hugged her. "Yes, really. Don't let anyone change who you are, Erin. You're beautiful the way you are." Erin smiled and pulled Sara gently away. "You're the best, Sara." Sara was a few inches shorter than Erin, she had shoulder-length brown hair, and pretty green eyes. Sara was the greatest friend Erin had ever had. Apart from her one friend from middle school, Isabella, they were inseparable. But Isabella moved schools and they barely ever spoke after that. Isabella was always so busy, and never available to do stuff with Erin. Back in high school, Erin had trouble finding a good best friend. They always mixed around, they never stuck with her. Along with best friends, Erin was made fun of for being top of her math class, science class, and English class. The boys was another issue. Only a few ever spoke to Erin, because they weren't the type of guys who look deep into a person, they just would judge the outside. But Erin made it through alive, with degrees in music and drama, along with an English degree. She was a smart kid. And she did a lot of it on her own. Both of her parents were basically gone. Her mother was in and out of jail every other week, but during Erin's last year of high school, her mother was sent to jail for a life sentence after killing her husband. Yes, Erin's father was murdered by her own mother. Erin was sent to live with her grandma, who treated her like crap. But Erin still made it through the end of high school, barely, without telling anyone what was going on in her life. She didn't think she could ever feel happy again. Until she met Sara freshman year of college. Sara was a new light in Erin's life, and possibly to only light that was in Erin's life at the time. Sara pushed Erin to be who she always wanted to be, and Erin poured her heart out to Sara, every detail about the abuse, the smell of alcohol in her house, the burning feeling of having been struck in the face. Sara was a Haven. She was Erin's new family and sister basically. Erin wouldn't have made it through without Sara. "You better get going, it closes in an hour". Sara smacked Erin's bottom on the way out the door. Erin jumped and laughed, filling the room. "Watch it Sara." Sara winked and closed the door when Erin left. Erin smiled and hopped down the hall to the stairs. She walked out the building smiling, the sun being down in her face. She looked around at the campus. Pretty cherry blossom trees were scattered across the bright green grass. Erin turned the corner into the coffee shop, The Coffee Lounge, and bounced over to the register. "Hey Erin, what can I get you?" The cashier, Allie, a friend of Erin's from drama class, smiled up at Erin. "Hey Allie, can I get a frozen mocha please?" Allie nodded and kindly said to Erin, "you know Erin, you look really nice today. Here, let me pay for you." Erin smiled and blushed a little. "Are you sure Allie? You don't have to do that! Oh, and thank you." Allie shoved Erin's shoulder. "Yes, of I'm sure, it's no problem. Just wait over there, I'll be right back." Erin laughed and walked over to the pick up station and sat at one of the table near by. She looked out the window and smiled again. "You smile a lot, don't you?" Erin quickly turned around to see none other than Taron. "Is there a problem with that?" She smirked. Taron looked to the side then back at her. "Of course not. Smiling is a disease, once someone sees someone else smiling, they start to smile too." He smiled and sat next to Erin. Erin blushed and bit her lip. "So, you're the girl in the back of the room who laughs a lot right?" Erin widened her eyes. "Well, yes. I do laugh a lot, I guess." Taron looked at Erin thoughtfully. "You have a beautiful laugh." Erin giggled, "thanks." Taron laughed a little back at her. "You're mocha's ready Erin!" Erin stood up and felt her face turn bright red. "Thank you Allie". Allie tilted her head. "Are you okay Erin? You look a little..red..." Erin looked up, "oh, yeah, I'm fine." She began to whisper. "See that guy over there? He's actually flirting with me." Allie glanced over Erin's shoulder and saw Taron sitting at the table sipping tea. "Oh Erin. You really hit home base." Erin scoffed. "ALLIE!" Erin began to blush more and more. She turned around and sat back down with Taron. "You need to work on your whispering, love." Taron squinted his eyes and stood up. Erin tightened her lips. "Oopsie Daisy.." Taron touched Erin's face with his hand, and winked. "See ya." He walked out of the coffee shop. Erin touched her face where Taron did, and squealed. She saw other students in the coffee shop stare at her. She awkwardly waved at them and sipped her mocha. "Geez, what is going on", she thought in her head smiling brightly.
