Prologue
Trusting your senses isn’t always the answer to problems. Sometimes you have to blend in with the crowd, sometimes it’s just best to stand out of the crowd. But no matter what, never lose hope. Don’t let anyone tell you dreams are stupid. It’s okay to hope, to dream. It makes who we are in our past, present, and future.
There is always going to be that person who will try to beat you while you’re down. It’s best to just stand up and turn the other cheek. If they harm you another, walk away. If they come after you, it’s time to fight. Don’t get walked upon all the time. It isn’t good for self-esteem. There will always be that one group of people that are there for you, whether they’re on the sidelines, or on the field.
Rome wasn’t built in a day, if you find that you are imperfect at anything, use this proverb. It helps keep confidence up, and is great for picking yourself up while you’re down. Although... Stray from using this proverb for projects, homework assignments... It just doesn’t work so don’t do it man. Just don’t.
Lastly, and most importantly, Imagination is key to everything. It is a gateway to another world and back. It unlocks new stories, art, and music. Culture is based off of the useful tool of imagination.

The cherry blossoms were in full bloom the morning of the graduation ceremony. The monotonous school halls no longer had constant chitter-chatter everywhere now. Instead, it held humble silence, as now the graduates of this year don’t own these buildings and walls. Now, it was my turn to make a stand, show everyone that not all third years are jerks. I always hated how they had a condescending tone to their voice.
The science room had many windows on the left-wing of the room. It gave a vibe that I could not shake off. Even today, I still regret going to school that day. The school allowed the student body to skip school the last day of the year, since there was no educational value to it... My mother asked if I wanted to go today, I accepted it. Besides... What was one more day right. Boy was I stupid.
I saw absolutely no one there. I don’t recall seeing teachers. Not that anyone cared. Yet, for the school arts festival, the place was crawling with teachers and police. News flash: No one will be selling drugs or their body for school related events. Sure, there may be a few cosplay cafes, but that is the fun of being adolescent, right? I never seem to get any fun out of this place. Sure,I may go to restaurants with friends, go to athletic events, but I never seem to find any joy. What do normal teenage students do for fun?
I never had a girlfriend, not once. Not even the petty ones in grade school that usually last thirty minutes. That would have been fun. I just wanted to live the life of an average person...
Science class was the only time of the day I would enjoy.
Chapter 1
Mr. Karawakiza dragged the lecture along. Then he let us loose for the project. I loved when we did labs, it made me feel like I was creating something new, even though we were repeating something that had been done. Usually labs are done every time we weren’t having a test or preparing for one, which was often. The labs usually considered of creating a substance out of minerals and metals. Today though, he told us we can create anything we want as long as you record it. I think he implied that you do one of your favorite labs, but what else were we gonna make? Drugs? I think it’s safe to say everyone used common sense. Well, almost everyone.
Next to me was my friend, Hizashi. Usually he carried out his classes half-assed. He would settle for anything that wasn’t a D or below. Sometimes he strived for C’s, even though he had a B! Ah, whatever... I was his lab partner today, and usually we were. He would do the writing whilst I did the actual lab. Here came the weird part. His half-assed attitude quickly changed into a devious smile and probably a plan for evil. That didn’t quite fit him. He jumped straight to the lab like he knew what he was doing. I followed along like a lost puppy. It must be opposite day today.
