Hey please Comment so i can know how ya'll feel bout it so far! Thanks!

The smell of fresh coffee brewing woke me from my slumber. My body drifted towards it automatically. I froze as soon as I saw him standing in the kitchen holding out a coffee mug with steam coming from the glorious mouth watering liquid that lurked inside. I didn't think much as I grabbed the cup from Mr. Lowie and sat down on an expensive black leather stool that matched the black marble Island. I wasn't thinking about how I came to be in such a fancy kitchen, that I have only ever seen in cooking shows. Having Mr. Lowie giving me my 'sane liquid' known as coffee, I started gulping it down, not stopping, even though the hot liquid was scorching my tongue. I was not going to think about yesterday until I had finished my coffee. I raised my eyebrows as he set a plate of a huge hunk of scrambled eggs, five pieces of sausage, and six pieces of chocolate chip pancakes. I didn't care about the amount he gave me at the time, with the rumbling from my stomach, making it hard not to be glad for the very sufficient amount of food in front of me. It can also wait until after breakfast, I added as I bit into the well-cooked sausage.

After I had surprising finished every single bite of food placed in front of me, like a starved dog that had found its way inside of a stocked meat factory, I looked up at Mr. Lowie's familiar sky blue eyes and smirked.

"It was you" I stated towards him.

He just smiled and nodded as footsteps came from the hallway where I had come from. I started to turn as the scent of men's AXE deodorant and vanilla entered my nostrils. Kris drifted into the kitchen. His scent mixed with the smell of food and coffee.

We both stared at each other for a moment until Mr. Lowie set a plate of food, made for Kris, beside me. He didn't have as much as I did, but still more than I normally ate. Kris walked slowly to the table and sat down beside me. He stared at his food like it wasn't really even there. I looked around and used my new strengthened senses to look for Jessica, but I didn't sense anyone else besides us.

I glanced at Mr. Lowie and my eyes went wide. He looked at me with such sad eyes that they spilled the truth, without him having to say one word. I felt my heart start to race but I looked over at Kris who hasn't eaten and I stopped those emotions immediately.

"Come on Kris, you need to eat at least a little. You need your strength, 'kay?" I said to him like I would to a nervous little puppy in a new home. Looking at him he looked more like an abused abandoned puppy. He had a black eye, cut lip, a couple broken ribs and finally a swollen neck with two little slits in the center. A bite mark?

He glanced at me before he started to eat. He wasn't enthusiastic about it, but at least he was eating. After he ate a good amount of his food, he put his fork down and turned to Mr. Lowie

"Where's Jessica?" he didn't much ask, more like he demanded.

Mr. Lowie looked at me and I took a deep breath. "Kris... she didn't make it" I told him.

I don't know how I stayed in control of my emotions, when all my insides were screaming at me to scream, cry, and to kill something. I had a clue what that something was.

Kris glared at me "What do you mean she didn't make it? What the hell is going on Jade?" His face started to turn red, but he wasn't full blown screaming in my face...yet.

"You know what I mean and I don't know" I whispered.

"No I don't know what you mean!" he yelled at me in anger has he slammed his fists on the table. His face told me that he was in complete denial.

I couldn't control myself anymore "Yes you do! Damn it Kris you're not the only one going through a tough time right now so just fucking chill! At least you didn't wake to see the dead bodies of your mother and brother!" I screamed back at him. Tears started to blur my vision and my hands started to shake.

He stopped frozen solid by my words "Jade..." he whispered his own tears started to flow down his face. He didn't hug me. He squeezed me with all his strength as through to combine our bodies so that we can never be taken away from each other.

Mr. Lowie cleared his throat. "I buried them" he informed us.

My eyes widened in surprise "even my family?"

He nodded and waved his hand for us to follow him. With our arms still holding onto each other for dear life we followed.

The wind blew my long black hair out of my face and caressing my skin as if to comfort me. I looked up at Kris and he smiled gently at me as if he felt the same. Maybe he did.

I looked away from him and looked around at our surroundings. A thick, luscious forest surrounded the old three story mansion we walked out of. It felt as though we were in an entirely different world. A beautiful garden spread out in front of us like a maze. Roses, daisies, tulips... there was nothing that wasn't in the garden.

Beyond the Garden lay the ocean. It's graceful, yet dangerous waves crashing into the rocky bottom of the cliff. Once we made it to the center of the garden I stood where I was and gazed up at the statue. Her hair flowed smoothly between her great wings that erupt from her back. Her eyes looked down at me with knowledge and expectations that I wish I knew what exactly they were and what they meant.

Around her were little square concrete with the names of our family and friend engraved in them. I fell on my knees and slid my hands over the words of my brother's name. "At least they have each other" I muttered as my tear dropped from my face and onto the surface of where my little brother lay underneath. No, his body, but not him, not his soul.

I looked over at Kris where he knelt by his aunts grave. Now that woman could make the best homemade pizza. Just like with cooking she was firm and soft at the same time when raising Kris. Even though she was eighteen when Kris's parents died, leaving a seven month old baby. She wouldn't let the state take him. She always answered "I am the only family he has left. Who can you rely on whole-heartily, if not your family?" She would answer with a smile. And her tone let you know that it wasn't a question. She was right and you were wrong. It's the way she lived her life and she was always right. I always believed she was a little physic. Kris lost all his family just like me. I got up and put my hand on his shoulder.

"We will take our revenge on the fucking fuckers who did this" I let him know.

"Fucking fuckers?" he copied amused.

"Yup" I smiled at him and he grinned back.

"Well when you curse I know you're serous" Kris got up and wiped off his pants. "So what do we do now?" he asked Mr. Lowie.

"Knowledge is always the beginning" he answered as he turned and took a red rose from its vine. "Do you know that like animals plants can sense certain things in people?" he asked us, rhetorically. He walked over to the statue and held the rose to his mouth. "Please grant me entrance upon these chambers." he whispered to the plant. He laid the flower at the feet of the angel then stepped back. The ground started to shudder and groaned. A whole started to appear where the flower laid. After a short while, in its place was a giant whole that hid a staircase that lead down to god only knows where to.

Kris and I looked over at Mr. Lowie with equal shocked expressions. He looked at us with a lovely grin "they can tell who is good and who is bad. And depending on the answer they either do as you ask or..." he winked before starting down the stairs.

"Or what?" I asked puzzled.

He didn't answer and kept walking. "This is not possible. Maybe he secretly pressed some button to open that and is trying to mess with us. Do you believe this?" Kris asked.

After yesterday, I don't have a clue anymore. I started walking "I'm just going to turn my brain off for the rest of my life. Who needs it anymore..." I muttered in reply.

"It was on?" Kris asked sweetly.

I slapped him on the back of his head quickly before continuing to follow Mr. Lowie. Kris soon followed behind me. We walked through the darkness, unaware of where we were actually going, but hopping that where ever it did lead us, we will soon receive answers to the questions we have, and a way to defeat the ones who brought this nightmare to our lives. One way or another we will get justice for the death of our love ones. Our new life begins now.
