So it's been a couple months since the incident with.. Luke.. It's May! My senior year is almost done! I've been going to school. I didn't want to after how embarrassed I was. But my parents made me and I think it helped. People here and there make comments but I'll get over it. Luke and I don't talk I totally shut him out. Completely. He gave up trying. He doesn't even bother anymore. I think Luke and I are never going to be the same. Like never.

It's field day for the seniors. I'm team captain. Our color is neon green. I'm wearing my spandex shorts and my green shirt with the sleeves cut off showing my sports bra. All the girls are matching.

It's the first competition. Running. Team captain doesn't get to play, why I wanted to be the team captain, so I send the player out. All the team captains sit together.

There's, Jessica, Josh, Casey, Anthony, and last and most certainly least, Luke Horan.

My eyes hurt from just looking at him.

Anyway. He sat next to me. I clenched my hand into a fist turning my head away. It was ok though, he didn't talk to me. We both were to busy screaming our team on. My team won the round. I jumped up screaming.

"Good Job, Darcy." He smiled at me.

I stopped cheering and just looked at him.

"Yeah, thanks." I walked away.

It was the last game. Luke and I's team were neck in neck. So no other team was playing. It was the finals. My life depended on this. If I lost I'm not sure what I would do.

"Alright for this next competition, it's team captains against team captains."

The crowd literally gasps, some laugh.

"The challenge is..." Everyone drum rolled. "An obstacle course."

Luke and I looked at each other actually making eye contact.

"You will run over to the bouncy house. Go through it and all it's obstacles and first one out wins field day." She said pointing over to this ginormous bouncy house.

The team gave us a pep talk. Then we had to shake hands with the other team captain, aka Luke.

"Shake hands and we can start." She told us.

I looked at Luke then his hand waiting for mine. I didn't want to touch him.

"Darcy.." He whispered as he looked around at everyone staring waiting for me to shake on it.

"Um um." I mumbled nervous.

I shook his hand. Then right after wiped it off on my leg.

We got in ready positions. Waiting for the flag to go down signaling go. It went down and we both took off. I was light on my feet which helped me speed ahead of Luke.

I flung my body into the bouncy house. I froze and stared at it. I didn't think it was going to be this detailed and difficult. Luke caught up so we were neck in neck trying to find our way out.

Finally I found the way out I ran into action and he followed. I slid down the slide and won. I WON I WON I WON I WON I WONNNNN!!!!

I came out like a boss. I raised my hands in the air while my team screamed for me.

The biggest boy on the team put me on his shoulders while everyone screamed. Luke trudged to his team.

"Don't worry Luke I didn't do it for money." I smirked at him.
