FEW YEARS INTO THE FUTURE
It was a cold and windy November night. Outside, the bare branches of the trees groaned as they were swept from side to side by the wind, gently scratching the thin walls of a small ramshackled house. From a distance came a terrified scream of a young child.
Running frantically, she was trying to escape the clutches of the behemoth, a four eyed beast, as large as a bear, with four strong muscular legs and a back sheltered with knife-like spikes. Its hideous face had a smooth black coat and was covered with a helmet of bone. The behemoth's feet pounded against the soft layer of snow, shaking the ground beneath it.
Two crystal tears escaped the girl's bright blue eyes and raced down her pale cheeks.
A shadow peered out of a small window just in time to see beast clasp the girl's frail body in its fangs, her petite figure hung limply in its jaws, as blood trickled down, painting the snow a deep red.
Emerald eyes glistened with excitement in the moonlight as the child got torn mercilessly limb by limb until all that was left was her heart... Her heart, glowing in a bright flame, was the blue heart of a sorcerer.
A malicious smile crept onto their lips...
"Bye bye, May-May" They chuckled quietly as they disappeared back into the shadows...
