He paused; I peeked up from my book.

"But more of that later...for now, please join me in welcoming the lovely ladies of the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, and their Headmistress, Madame Maxie!"

We all turned to the doors, as they opened to reveal a troupe of very attractive young men and ladies. They were all dressed in baby blue, from their pointed caps, to their toes.

I watched as they made their way down the aisle, sighing and waving in a rather romantic manner. Magical blue butterflies fluttered among them. Following the students was a very, very tall lady. She wore a beautiful dress, and a large fur collar.

I heard someone mutter. "That's one big woman."

They finished their grand entrance, and got a roar of applause afterward: mostly from the boys around the room. I heard more than a few whistles.

Dumbledore kissed Madame Maxie's hand, and then spoke again.

"And now our friends from the North; please greet the proud Sons and Daughters of Dumstrang, and their Highmaster, Igor Karkarov!"

Heads were turned once more, and I caught even my own jaw dropping at the strong-looking young men and women that entered the room: they carried staffs, which they twirled around, shouting, in a synchronized fashion.

Everyone began to gasp as they ran up towards the front of the room, doing backflips and such. Lastly, entered yet another tall person; Highmaster Karkarov, dressed in white, and looking quite powerful. Two boys joined him: one I recognized. It was that "Krum" guy Ron and his friends were so smitten with.

They ended their entrance with a boy blowing through a tube: it produced fire creatures that flew up and around him. It was all quite amazing.

"Albus!"

"Igor!"

The two men hugged.

After that, the students from the other schools were seated amongst the four Hogwarts Houses. A girl from the Beauxbaton Academy sat directly next to me, and saw my book. It seemed as if she was about to comment on it, but she was interrupted when Dumbledore exclaimed,

"Let the feast begin!"

Suddenly, food began to appear on all of the tables, and everyone gasped in awe. I had known it would happen: I had read about it in Hogwarts, A History.

The Beauxbaton girl was just as flabbergasted as everybody else, and quickly began to fill the plate that had somehow plopped in front of her. I grabbed a leg of meat, an apple, and some pudding, then went back to reading.

This is when the blue-bell chose to speak to me.

"That looks like a cool book."

"It's interesting enough. Though, I've already counted three grammar mistakes."

"What mistakes?"

Oh, that's right. I forgot that Wizards don't study grammar. Or spelling, or arithmetic! Still, magic is quite intriguing.

"Grammar is the whole system and structure of a language, and sometimes also phonology and semantics. Does that answer your question?"

She stared at me for a moment, hesitant to reply, but then nodded.

"Yes."

"Good." I continued reading.
