Ares' Daughter

Chapter 1

"Emma!" My father called. I trotted over to him with a grin on my face knowing what was going to happen next. My best friend Zoe had told me she overheard plans of him taking me to San Francisco on vacation.
" Emma , I have some big news for you." he said which I responded with smiling like a fool and nodding enthusiasticly, "You are going to Earth, San Francisco, to mentor and protect a young woman who recently discovered that Hades is her father. She hasn't shown any powers yet but if left alone she could be extremely dangerous. Many people will try to take advantage of her. You leave in two days and you're going to be there for two months." He  said excitedly.My face fell and I complained
" but ...but why me?" Staring at his maroon colored eyes, his smirk dropped as I said this and he said
"It's your first mission, you have to go, I mean you might be a little nervous but you'll be fine ,you're my daughter after all. " I scoffed at the way he finished that off but appreciated the thought. He pointed at my room with a smirk and told me to go pack.
"Bye, Dad" I called out as I walked back to my room.

After I finished breakfast I changed out of my  pajamas I got dressed in a black tank top a leather jacket and black skinny jeans with my combat boots.  Once I'd change I put on all my weapons grabbed my bags and started out the door. I tossed my stuff into the back of my Mini Cooper. I typed in the coordinates and my car , that my dad gave some magical changes to, instantly teleported me outside my clients apartment building. I unbuckled my seat and saw the file I had been given on her. Fuck, I thought to myself I had forgotten about that.  I quickly grazed over it. Her name  is Amelia  Davidson I am here to 'audition' for the role as her roommate. Dad already rigged it so I will win. Ok let's go, I thought to myself. I walked in the building when I reached her door I got nervous and my hand just stood there about to knock for awhile, then a tall girl who is in about her mid-twenties said
"Well you gonna knock on my door or just stand there all creepy-like?"  "Knock, I just got a little nervous." I said "damn never show signs of weakness lesson number 7" I muttered scolding myself.    
"Which lessons?" Amelia  asked me curiously to which I just replied with
" I'm Emma "
"Amelia" she said with a nod. "Are you here about the roommate position?"
" Actually I am"

"... and that's how I got this scar." She said ending her story
"oh shit, I gotta go. I'll get back to you on the roommate thing as soon as possible. Bye!"she said as we both left her apartment. That went well she's actually rather nice.

'Ring ring'' . I picked up my phone  and saw that Amelia was calling. With a wave of my hand I made the training dummy disappear and I pulled my long katana sword into its sheath. Picking up my phone I said,
"Hey"
"Hi! guess what!" Amelia asked
"Did I get it?"
"Yeah you did"
"Yes!" I cheered
"Can you come over soon my house looks super empty without my old roommates stuff" she said and I could just imagine her silly pout.
"I'll be there as soon as I can,bye."
"See you then."

I drove there and hopped up the stairs. This time I knocked quickly and the door swung open. As I walked in Amelia stared at me in awe and confusion.
"What" I said putting my hand on my hip then I felt the cold metal of my battle armor under my hand. My eyes widened at my mistake.
" tell me what the fucking hell is going on, with no excuses or lies," she asked
"I'm really sorry I'm Ares daughter sent here to protect you and stop you from using your powers for evil. "  I whispered.
