Chapter 6
Aron and I climb for hours before reaching the top of the third mountain
Aron says "Y'know I kinda feel bad not knowing much about you after we've been together so long." he grins. I look at him strangly. "Uh...,OH! not 'together' I just meant uh travaling so long together." he says turning red. I shrug. "Well what do you what to know?" I ask. He rubs his hands together nervously. "....Uh..." he mumbles looking away and sliding his hands in his pockets. What is up with him? I wonder. Why is he acting so nervous?
I smile sweetly and link arms with him. He blushes and smiles back. His bright blue eyes make my stomach feel weird. He flips his hair and it falls perfectly over his eyes. I get a melting feeling inside that makes me walk slower.he slows down also. "You ok?" he asks raiseing an eyebrow. I snap out of my haze."Uh,Yeah. I'm fine." I say shaking the strange feeling off. "Good." Aron says. "'Cause it looks like there's more soilders ahead." he says lowering his voice. I groan. "Dont worry I'll take 'em this time, you can stay here." Aron says as I unlink arms with him. He smiles and walks off toward the soilders. I sit down on the grass and lean up against a tree.I close my eyes listen to the sound of Aron fighting the soilders in the distance. Suddenly there's a scream.
I jump up. That sounded like Aron! I run though the woods toward Aron. Branches and vines get caught on my clothes and rip them. I look down at myself and see huge rips in my clothes and cuts on my arms dipping with blood. I hold my breath and keep running. Right now I don't care if I've been run though the heart with a sword,I just have to get to Aron!
I push past the trees and trip on a vine. I wipe the mud off my face and see I'm in a clearing. There's five men surrunding Aron. None of them have noticed me yet. I look past them and see Aron tied up with a cut on his head and blood dripping down his face. I cover my mouth to keep from screaming. Aron looks up and sees me. His eyes get big and he trys to pull the cloth of that's tied around his mouth, but one of the soilders grabs him by the hair and while another one tightens the clothe. They whisper somthing in his ear that makes him hang his head again.
I bite my lip,I have to help Aron! I grab my sword and pull it out silently. Then I sneak up behind the one closest to Aron. "DIE!!!!" I scream uncontrollably stabbing the soilders in the back. He collaspes and the others run at me. I wildly swing my sword knocking them all to the ground. I run back to Aron and cut the ropes and clothe off. "Sara! That was crazy!" Aron screams. I throw my arms around him and let the tears fall. "I thought you were dead!" I yell tighten my grip around his neck. Aron hugs me back. "I'm fine Sara.....I'm fine." he says soothingly. I sit back and look him in the face. The cut on his face is still dripping and I probably have blood on the back on my shirt, but I don't care he's safe and that's all I wanted. "What did they do to you?" I ask lightly brushing my fingers against his cut. He winces."I was out numbered I guess." he says wiping his face and staring at the blood. "Come on I brought some medical supplies in my bag let's go." he says helping me up and walking back to where I left our bags.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have let you go alone!" I say. "Sara don't worry about me! I'm fine, it's you in worried about." Aron says walking faster. "Aron there's nothing wrong with me! Look at that cut in your head!" I say stopping him. He turns around."And look at that cut in your side!" Aron says pointing at my stomach. I look down and see a huge cut in my side. I gasp and fall to the ground clutching my side. "Sara!" Aron yells. I moan.".....How...When...?" I mumble.I feel dizzy and weak. Aron picks me up and runs back to where I left the bags as fast as possible. The bottom of my shirt is completely ripped off and I can see the cut in side dripping and staining Arons clothes. I try to hold my cut and wipe the blood off Aron but he yells at me." Stop touching it your only makeing it worse!" I look up at him. "But it's getting all over you." I say. "I don't care! Just stop!" he yells. Soon we get back to the bags and Aron sets me down carefully before searching though his bags for his supplies. "Here it is!" he says pulling out blurry objects. "...I-I can't see.." I mumble. Aron looks at me worriedly."Your losing too much blood!" he says quickly wrapping somthing around my stomach. I rub my eyes. "Whats happening?" I ask. "I have to give you a shot, just stay calm. You can squeeze my hand if you need to." He says taking out a shot and offering his hand before ejecting the medicine.I take his hand, but not because I hate shots. In seconds my vision clears and I can see that me and Aron are still holding hands. I look at him and smile. He pulls me into a hug. "Better?" he asks. "Yeah, thanks to you." I say. I pull away." Now let me take care of that cut on your head." I say. He hands me the bandages and I carfully wrap his head in the bandageing tape. When I finish and focuse my eyes back on Aron, our faces are almost touching. He smiles."Thanks Sara." I give him a quick kiss on the cheek."No problem." he looks a littled dazed. I laugh."ok next time we're both going." I say. Aron nods."But you,I thought you couldn't stand to see yourself kill a clone." He says looking confused. "But I also couldn't let them kill you.So I did what I had to do." I reply grinning with pride."Well,Thanks. I'm glad you did."Aron says standing up. "Do you think we should keep moving?" He asks. I stand up."Sure.....And thanks for coming with me.Even though I didn't want you to." I say quietly. Aron picks up the bags and gently slides his hand into mine. "I knew you would get hurt." he says walking toward the next mountain."And so I did what I had to do." He says copying me.I laugh."....I'm happy you came me now." I say leaning against him to avoid a branch."Me too." Aron says ducking his head to avoid a vine.We look at eachother and our noses are touching. We both laugh. Even though we're covered in mud,and blood,I've never felt happier in my life.
