Cas slowly opened his eyes in the darkness and yawned. His mornings always started before Dean's, but not this early. He tried to close his eyes and drift back to sleep, but he was already awake. He slowly slipped out of the king-sized bed, making sure he didn't wake Dean up. Dean was never happy in the mornings, but at six o'clock, he would be pissed.
After gliding down the stairs soundlessly, Cas searched through the cabinets for the ingredients to make pancakes, mixing bowls, and some spoons and spatulas. He mixed together all the ingredients and heated up the griddle he had bought to make Dean food...the only thing that seemed to please him besides when Cas was with him, and both of the things together were like heaven to him.
Once the griddle heated up, Cas started to slap batter onto the skillet. The only thing that made him happy, besides Dean's happiness, was cooking. It made him feel in control, since he controlled the outcome no matter what he did. He could add a little salt or sugar, but Cas always knew it would turn out to be a culinary masterpiece.
After making a few batches of chocolate chip pancakes, he made a few normal pancakes for himself. Dean will be so surprised when he wakes up... Cas thought, Maybe I should make something to go with it, since he has a bottomless pit instead of a stomach. Cas fried some bacon to go with the pancakes, and just as he finished brewing coffee, Dean was stumbling down the stairs, following his nose probably.
"Hey, baby.." Cas called as Dean slowly made his way to the kitchen,
"Are you hungry?"
"Gimme a minute to wake up Cas.." Dean mumbled back.
"Do you want your coffee? I made it just how you like it." Dean grunted in reply, and Cas hurried from the bar to the kitchen counter where he grabbed a cup of black coffee and brought it back to Dean.
"One coffee!" Cas said in a cheerful voice, "I'll be right back, I just have to go and get my food and then I'll be back. He then rushed into the kitchen and snatched his plate, eager to sit beside his boyfriend again. He munched on his pancakes topped with crumbled bacon and syrup dumped on top while waiting impatiently for Dean to wake up. The morning news grumbled in the background with no importance, but Cas had it on so he could listen while he waited. Dean finally turned to Cas after what seemed like ages and said, "What's for breakfast?".
Cas jumped into action and served Dean his food as fast as humanly possible. He walked out of the kitchen with a plate-full of chocolate chip pancakes smothered in maple syrup in one hand, and in the other he carried another plate with a mountain of bacon. Cas could see Dean's mouth watering from the distance that he quickly covered and set down the plates in front of him.
"Bon apatite." Cas whispered in Dean's ear.
"I love it when you do that." Dean turned to face Cas, only inches from him.
"Do what?" Cas bit his lip. He knew what was going to happen next.
"When you do those little things...like biting your lip whe your nervous." Dean replied, "I love it." Dean leaned in and planted a kiss on Cas' lips. He pulled back sooner than Cas wanted him to though. Dean came close and whispered in his ear, "There is no one I would rather be with than you Cas."It's my first Destiel, so try not to murder me! 😜 Tell me in the comments if you like it, if I should post more, what I could do to make my writing better, ect...
