harry had just strolled back into his apartment, after another long day of school he could finally rest.
usually, back in guernsey, he would play outside until about 9pm every night. this being the fact that 1) he really enjoyed the outside world, exploring different parts of their community every day, finding secrets which lies within their village. and 2) the fact that he was with his friends, they would practice their football skills and then do some star gazing.
but now he lives in the city, that's not exactly possible for the boy.
sure he could stay out late like he used to, but it simply wouldn't feel the same. with the area of london, the smell gasoline was strong. and the constant ugliness of all the buildings surrounding them, the colour green was almost rare for the family.
of course, buddy came up to the blonde at the door as always. his brown floppy ears swishing around and his paws plotted along the floor, his hazel eyes looked up to his owner's blue ones and he smiled, a tennis ball filling up the majority of his gob.
he was greeted with hugs and kisses, as always, by harry, and the two made their way into the boy's room.
he sat down on his desk, which he had just bought from ikea yesterday. his dad said that it would help him a lot for school, and he was surprisingly right. harry spent up to 40 minutes doing all his homework that he had due, a maths work sheet, a powerpoint for ICT and some bullet points for english.
speaking of english, harry had caught up to the rest of the class remarkably. he had even started pacing ahead of some of the other pupils, including caspar. even though he was pretty, he wasn't the smartest pumpkin in the patch. 1920's america interested him so much, which is why he has a love for the great gatsby.
with his homework done, he placed his school books back in his bag and picked up his phone from his bedside table. he had revived a few notifications, and decided to check them all.
1) new text - mum 💗
hey hon, will be home at around five! a stupid kid at this place had smashed a window, had to take the poor thing to hospital, dad will be home later due to the new job n all! love you xthat text was understandable, since the move harry's mum had relocated to a new place. she was originally a social worker back in guernsey, looking after smaller, more polite kids. but now i guess you could say her new lot are very rambunctious, always doing stupid shit.
this coming from the lad that fell off his roof?

DUDE GOOD LUCK TOMORROW :Dthis was one thing harry definitely needed, a bit of encouragement was great for what was about to come. this time tomorrow he would have played against the opposing team, and hopefully win against them in the football match.
the nerves were definitely kicking in, all harry could do was try to rest. with so much of his mind with so little time, there was only a few things he could avoid.
he couldn't get distracted, but that was hard when he's literally going on a date with his crush. not to mention the fact he doesn't know anything about it, no meeting place or time.
he'd just have to pray.

"okay class! remember to get started on that essay, it's due monday next week!" his history teacher exclaims.
today was the day.
after a not-so-amazing sleep last night, he has now faced his final day. in less than two hours the pep rally would begin, meaning that in those two hours, harry had to be as confident and well put together as possible.
