A fresh wind blew through the city, the sun was beginning to set. People all around hurrying to finish the last minute errands of the day. Another busy day in New York, nothing new.
My neon blue beats blasted Demi Lovato new single, Neon Lights, as I made my way home. Home, where my father would be waiting for me to give him the winnings of the day from the old family business, like he likes to call it.
What can the family business possibly be? Well, my father is none other than Luis Leon, the famous drug lord in America. He recently took his business to the UK , London to be more exact. Is no surprise, that he is taking over seas, he knows his way around the system.
Well, he'll be happy to know that today at the school his whole merchandise sold out, from pills to injections. I'm use to it all already, I grew up with all this, for God sakes I started selling at age twelve. I, now, have four years n the business.
As my green eyes looked up from the concrete they were surprised to see a moving van parked in front of Jenk Suites, the building right in front of mine. No one can usually afford their suites, especially the top floor.
"What suite?" I heard the delivery man ask the doorman, as I took off my headphones.
"That will be the top suite," replied a male voice, and it certainly wasn't the doorman. Hank is not British for starters, and this was a younger voice.
I looked to the source of the sentence to see five guys and two girls, they totally looked like outsiders. May be tourists? Whatever they are I'm pretty sure my dad will like to know about them.
"I'm glad to finally be here," said the girl with brown hair, she looked like she could be a model," I hate flights that take that long."
"Well, what did you expect El?" the other girl asked her. She had fair skin, blue eyes, and blonde hair. "Flying from the UK to America is not a walk in the park."
I had to pass right through them, if I wanted to get home. And it is better if I stopped listening to their conversation, or else I will get caught.
"Um... Excuse me," I said as I passed right through the girls and the boys. I held my green beanie down with one hand and my green messenger backpack down with the other, trying not to make eye contact.
"Oh...of course," one of the guys replied, making me look up at him. He, then, gave me that I know you or it's her look, freaking me out a bit. His brown eyes kept starring back into mine, catching the attention of the others. They all looked at me, and it was like a light bulb went on inside their mind, because they all gave me the same look as their friend.
"You know, in America, it's rude to stare," I told them before walking off to my building. As I walked away, I could still feel their eyes on me, like daggers to the back of my head.
Liam's POV
"Well, we have located the daughter," spoke Louis as she entered her building.
"One step closer to our goal," added Eleanor.
"Come on, let's get everything up and unpack," I told them, taking the lead like always, "Niall, you call Josh and tell him that we have located them."
Niall simply nodded and walked a few steps away, cellphone in hand. The rest started to take the light stuff up to the top floor, our home for the next few months. Scouting her father and her out, and returning our findings to our boss, Josh.
Josh is not happy with Luis, not happy that he took his territory away from him. Not happy that an American took his territory away from him. And, now, he won't stop at nothing to get his territory back, even if that means that blood will be spilled, or maybe even making his daughter pay for his mistakes.
