The Vampire Diaries: An Eternity Of Misery

Scene:

INT. SALVATORE MANSION - LIVING ROOM - MORNING

Mystic Falls, Virginia is a small town, a place you'd like to raise a family. Mid-May. In the Salvatore Mansion.(entrance is upstage and to the right) Damon is in the living room which is to the left of the entrance. He is sitting in his chair in front of the fireplace drinking bourbon when he gets a call.

ON DAMON AND CADE BACK AND FORTH

DAMON: (Picks up phone) Hello?

CADE: I have a proposition for you...kill 100 people or kill your brothers girl...you have until midnight tonight or you die and I own your soul.

DAMON: I'm not killing 100 people or Caroline.

CADE: You have until midnight to choose. (Hangs up phone)

DAMON: Cade? Hello? (To himself) Damn it (Throws cup of bourbon at the fireplace wall) (Leaves house)

EXT. SALVATORE MANSION - OUTSIDE DRIVEWAY - DAY

DAMON: (Gets in car.) (Calls Caroline) Pick up Blondie

CAROLINE: Hello?

DAMON: Blondie (Pauses) Where are you?

CAROLINE: At the grill. Why?

DAMON: Stay there I need to talk to you in person. (Hangs up phone)

INT. MYSTIC GRILL - DAY

ON DAMON AS HE WALKS IN

A cozy neighborhood bar and grill. Damon arrives at the grill which is downstage and to the left. He walks in and sees Caroline by the bar.

ON CAROLINE AND DAMON

CAROLINE: What the hell is going on?!?!

DAMON: Cade wants me to kill 100 strangers or kill you...

CAROLINE: (Gives Damon a death stare)

DAMON: Don't worry Blondie I have a plan.

Just then Cade walks in and walks right up to Damon and Caroline.

ON CAROLINE, DAMON AND CADE

CADE: Hello Damon, Hello Caroline.

DAMON: What do you want?

CADE: I'm here to tell you that I offered the same deal to Stefan and well (Chuckles a bit) he thinks it would be easier not to kill 100 people.

DAMON: No... he wouldn't, he cares about Elena.

CADE: Maybe with his humanity on but it's not on.

DAMON: (Gives Cade the death stare and thinks about killing Cade)

CADE: (Reads Damon's mind) I wouldn't even think about it I can't die. You see I am the devil after all I'm technically already dead. Come up with a better plan Damon. (Cade leaves)

CAROLINE: (To Damon) Now what. Cade can't die and Stefan is going after Elena. My best friend hes going after my best friend. If he kills her, I swear to god me and him are over.

DAMON: He won't get that far. Blondie I won't let him. Call Bonnie. I'm going to find my brother. (Damon leaves)

OUTSIDE MYSTIC GRILL - DAY

ON CAROLINE

CAROLINE: (Gets in her car and grabs her phone and dials Bonnie's number) Bonnie you better pick up (Goes voicemail. Caroline hangs up and tries again)
