I had woken up to my mother shaking me
"Ajla wake up, we have to go"
My looking very sleepy and dazed, I had remembered what they talked about last night so I had to pretend that I didn't know
"Go where?"
"To Tusla"
My mother said,she had quickly laid out my jacket for me
"Mama, where is Edin?"
Edin was my brother who had gone to his friends house the time of the attack,
"Tariks (Edins friend) mother had contacted me, were both going go Tusla you'll see him soon"
"Okay.."
I had put my jacket on and grabbed my little sister' we were on the way of heading out
"Okay, we have some food, Aminas diapers and bottles, all our jackets, should be all, correct?"
"Correct"
I said, my mother had placed all the items in a backpack and we headed out,
"Okay, we will be staying away from any main roads and going to rural way"
We were walking when suddenly I had saw a familiar face,it was Edin, I had ran to his side
"Edin!Its you!Where have you been!?Are you okay?!Are you safe!?"
"Hey,Hey, Ajla im fine, it was you I was worried about!"
"Im fine too!, oh hey Tarik! Hello Mrs.Buskotvic!"
"Hello Ajla"
They both said
"I hate to interrupt your meeting time but we have to go"
My mother said,
So we continued heading to Tusla,
Quarterway there a man stopped us, he appeared to be in some sort of Army,
"I need all the men, including boys to come into the forest with me"
He said,
My mother looked terrified
"They're coming to the forest because its away from where the Serbs were last seen, they'll end up in a safe spot and be fed,clothed,etc"
That was enough for my mom to agree, she didn't have a choice.
