"You are avoiding me, aren't you?" Jace Anderson said leaning closer.
"N...no?" It came out more like a question than an answer.
He leaned in closer and now Clarie could feel his breath closer to her ear, he was close enough, beyond her comfort zone. Then he laughed.
"Do I make you nervous." Yes Clarie wanted to say it so bad but her lips won't allow her to. She thought she was being ridiculous for being nervous around him. But she couldn't help it. He backed up enough to look her into the eyes and said.
"Why are you running from me? What happened?" This time this was her Jace. The Jace she knew.
She took a deep breath and said, "I am not, you were the one not me. You-" pointing her finger at him, "left me! You were the one! Not me. The only best friend I ever had."
"Had I still am your best friend!" He held urgency in his voice. But Clarie ignored it.
"No you are not! You lost that chance a long long time ago." With that Clarie Winters ran until she got out and cried out. The tears which she had held all those years, when she was lonely without him but things change and so do people.
Claire Winters was an ordinary high school teenager with good grades, a best friend and strict parents. She had it all set, focus on studies and get the college of her dreams. No interruptions, no parties, no drinks, no drugs and no boys.
But what happens when her childhood best friend returns, who now happened to be the bad boy since his arrival.
Would she forgive him for what he did. Will she let him stay closer when they were back all those years? How they used to care about each other or maybe loved each other. Will he be the old Jace she expects him to be? Or be the arrogant bad boy that everyone excepts him to be?
Thankyou all for reading my very first chapter. It's going to be awesome in the next chapters so please hold on and enjoy the show.
