Prompt: In all good stories, the main character has a flaw that plays into the main plot of a story. By the end of the story the main character has either overcame this specific flaw or recognized it without changing. Write about a character who has a fatal flaw.

The noises coming out of her mouth have become quieter as her friends tune her out. There's no possible way to make out what most of the words are that she speaks. And if someone could understand her they wouldn't want to be around her. She was sassy and talkative, had harsh comebacks, and never stayed consistent. On Mondays, she would be a brat, but on Tuesdays she would be shy. Wednesdays were her day of rest, but Thursdays were hell for anyone who dared to hang out with Veronica. Fridays would be her most moody days, but no one knew how she felt and acted on the weekends.

As the time on the clock ran out slowly, but surely, her words had a tiring and frustrating effect on those near her. They turned their heads away, put pens to paper, and covered their faces with cupped palms resting against their cheeks. Veronica tried to bring attention to herself by making jokes, or staring awkwardly at some for long periods of time. Though it kept her mouth shut, it did not halt the annoyance others were most obviously feeling. So Veronica did the one thing she could do best: she yapped incessantly.

"Shut up, shut up, shut up!" Raven yelled.

The girls who once sat to the right and left of Veronica scattered rapidly to desks further than necessary. Making the connection in her pea-sized brain, the girl slammed her arms down on her desktop and set her head upon them. She was left with no friends to anger or randomly poke fun at in the hallways.

That was until Veronica found a new best friend, Karla, who had nearly the same flaw. But no two people are alike, and that statement held true as Veronica soon found out. You see, Karla was way more violent and smarter than her, so Karla was able to make a ton more enemies than Victoria ever could or would.
