New Beginnings

I've been staring at my phone for about an hour waiting to see a particular email notification but nothing. Turning off my laptop I head downstairs for breakfast since it's already eight.

"Anything yet?" Logan asks. He's my twin. We get along pretty well but he's kinda over protective just because he's 10 minutes older than me. We're spitting images of each with the same brunette hair, dimples on left cheeks but while I have green eyes he has blue, which I'm so jealous of by the way.

"Nope". I say taking a seat at the island.

"Don't worry, you'll get it soon". I just hope he's right. I'm applying for New York University and I haven't gotten a reply from them. My brother has his acceptance from them already but I don't understand why it's taking so long for me to get mine. Everyday I wait for it but it's the same thing every single day.

"Easy for you to say. You got yours like two weeks after graduation." Scoffing I place my empty mug in the sink.

"It's not my fault that they just couldn't wait for me to give them the honour of attending to their school" He smirks.

"Oh shut up you idiot."

"If I really was an idiot why would they accept me? "

"You're evil you know that right?"

"Of course" He says scrolling through God knows what on his phone. Probably nudes of the numerous girls who are madly in love with him. I admit he's hot, smart, athletic,caring,lovable....okay fine I see why girls fall for him.

"Anyway where's mom?" I follow Logan to the living room where he turns on the television which has some sports show on.

"She left early said she had some work to do at the company."

"Oh oka-"

*Ding Dong*

"Are you expecting someone?" I ask going over to the door to open it.

"None that I know of" He scrunches his up in a manner which makes him look like he's trying to remember something.

How can you not know. This is what I have to live with. One of the main reasons why I can't wait for my acceptance letter.

I don't even reach the door knob when the door is opened and hits me straight im the face. Next thing I know the morons who did it didn't even apologize.

"Haha.. You should... save.. seen your face. Priceless." Andrew one of my brother's best friend's laughs. Him as well as the others enter the living room and do that their special bro handshake before they go to the kitchen and coke back with loads of snacks in their hands.

"Logannnn I told you to give me a heads up when your idiotic friends where to show up. I can't deal with them anymore. They're like Greek gods and-"  Holy penguins no,no,no,no. Tell me I didn't just say that please.

"Did she just say. Whoa." They all stare at me as if I just grew two heads. After a few minutes they all start laughing and I turn as red as a tomato.

"I'm just gonna go, yeah." I run up the stairs and into my room and that's where I stay till the next day.

🍃🍃🍃🍃

"OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD" I scream and just a second later my mom, Logan and my oldest brother Theodore barge into my room with worried expressions on their faces but when I show them the email on my laptop they all come crashing on me with congratulations being thrown towards me.

"Oh my baby. I'm so proud you. I knew you would get." My mom who's practically in tears tells me whiles hugging me tightly.

"Baby girl congratulations." Theodore says spinning me around the room. Logan just gives me a proud smile.

This is what I'm been waiting for. In a few months I'll be a college student.

Great huh?
