JACOB

People were looking the Bensons as they were scolding each other. The funny thing about them was they never failed to attract attention.

Angela stood outside Lucas' car, crossing he arms. "Luke, you said you will give me a lift."

"Yeah," Lucas said plainly, "but I changed my mind. I have practice."

"Who will take me home then?"

Lucas looked at her incrediously and he gestured to me. She only gave her famous blank expression in return.

Angela was looking out the window next to me. Humming to the song that was played on the video and drumming the steering wheel, I did that purposely to get her attention. She has been giving me the silent treatment all the time, much to my annoyance. No one, and I meant no one, dared to give me, the mighty Jacob Williams a silent treatment.

Of all girls, she was the only one who successfully annoyed and irritated me. And Audrey as well.

"Will you ever stop?" She exclaimed.

"Finally, she talked!"

She let out a sigh of exasperation and continued to look out the window. She silently cursed.

"You know he can't help it." I began. "He is the famous underground fighter, you know."

Lucas Benson. Any person who heard his name would cower in fear. He has been an underground fighter for two years, and it was because of Angela. Even though he was my best buddy, he was the last person I would pick a fight with. I have seen him beating up a guy until the guy was half dead. The guy was guilty of stalking Angela, which she was oblivious to. If I were in Lucas' shoes, I would act like that too, an overprotective person, since Angela was an oblivious person.

She still didn't look at me, but I could see her shoulders slumped. "I just... it's not that often I hang out with him." She bit her lip.

Angela was always by her brother's side since they were little. It made sense that she was sad when she didn't get to hang out with him, especially when she just got back from England.

I sped up, making her surprised. "You know what, let's go eat."

From the corner of my eyes, I could see her eyes lit up. She was still the same Angela I knew, the Angela who absolutely loved to eat.

Stopping at a diner, I have to literally stop her from getting too excited. Ah, girls and their love for food.

What didn't cease to amaze me was that no matter how much she ate, her figure stayed the same.

"What are you doing early at school?" I asked her when I remembered Audrey said she talked to her. Audrey always went to school earlier than me.

"Uh..." she trailed off, thinking what she should said but she gave up when I narrowed my eyes at her. "I was returning books." She smiled.

"The books you borrowed two years ago?" I arched my eyebrow. "And what about the librarian?"

"I didn't get caught! I must say I'm pretty good." She smiled triumphantly.

This girl was crazy. Failing to return books at the library at a certain time would cost money and she boldly did secretly. At this point, I couldn't even believe that she was one of the smartest student in the school.

A blonde girl walked towards me as I talked with Angela. "Hey, are you free?" She slurred, attempting to seduce me.

I eyed her. She looked like every girl who wanted to sleep with me. Slut.

"No." I said as rude as I could to make her go away. "I'm pretty busy here."

"I'm a good company," she carressed my upper body with her finger, still didn't give up, "unlike the bitch in front of you." She sneered at Angela.

Hearing what the blonde said, Angela looked down with a pained expression. The blonde smirked when she succeeded hurting her.

"You want to go with her?" Angela said, her voice was small.

"No! I--"

"I thought you hate clown."

What?

I was frozen for a while when it hit me. I stifled a laugh when I realized she was talking about the blonde, who wore an inch thick of makeup.

"You bitch!" The blonde glared at Angela, voice coated with venom but Angela wasn't intimidated by her.

"He," Angela gestured at me, "hates clown. You better wash your makeup if you want to be with him. But even if you did, he won't like a walking plastic."

The blonde cursed at her and walked away, stomping her feet. I laughed hardly as soon as she disappeared. People around us looked funnily at me, who was literally holding my stomach because of laughing too much.

It has been two years since I last heard her good comeback and acting in front of the people she hated. I shouldn't underestimate her.

She remained calm and cool, but she couldn't hide the smug smile on her face.

"You burned her." I said as I was done laughing.

"I don't care. It's her fault for disturbing my meal." She continued eating her food. "I hope she melts. She's plastic after all."

I grinned a toothy grin at her. She didn't fail to amuse me.

"Oh, you owe me three pizzas."

I just chuckled at her, thinking that my life was dull without her.
