Authors Note:
Hey guys! I recently just joined wattpad and thought I'd give the writing thing a try. I have never really tried writing a book before so this is the first chapter which is more of an introduction. Chapters will be added on as I get done with them and edit them but please leave comments whenever. Just don't spoil it for the rest of the readers. I hope you enjoy the first chapter of my first book and keep reading as I post more! Thank you for taking your time to read my book!
-----------------------------------------------------
Clarissa grew up loving fairy tales. A magnificent prince, a beautiful princess, drama, danger, and always, in the end, a happily ever after. She was a Junior in high school now; She only ever had one boyfriend and only for two months. She never had her first kiss and they never even hugged or held hands. She was to the point of thinking no human boy would ever love her. She worried that the mission God gave her in life, to make the world a better place with the love she always wanted to give; Was never going to be possible. She went to school being the nicest, most loving, and caring person she could be, no matter how many people were rude and mean to her. Then one day everything changed.
She woke up and got ready like any other day. She got dressed, brushed her teeth and went out to get coffee from a cafe before school. She started heading to school. As she was driving there she stopped suddenly. There was a deer in the middle of the road, staring straight at her. She moved forward a little bit and honked her horn trying to scare the deer away. Instead of running away the deer moved to the shoulder of the road and stopped and stared at her again. Clarissa, thinking she was going to be late to school, started driving. As she passed the deer she still watched it make sure it didn't run out in front of her. Strangely, the deer started to glow. "Deer aren't supposed to glow..." Clarissa said softly. She watched the glowing deer pass in her rear view mirror. She passed the deer and the rest of her drive to school was uneventful.
During school day she heard more whispers than usual. She had no idea what it was about, but it was apparently interesting. She walked into fifth hour right before class started. History, her fifth hour, was boring as usual. Learning about propaganda, and World War 1 was not her forte. There was a knock on the door interrupting the teacher in the middle of a sentence. It was the counselor, Mrs. Blanche. She was saying that they had a new student in class. Clarissa couldn't even listen. He was hot. Short black hair, messy, Probably from running his hands through it, tall, almost 6 foot, muscular, he must be athletic, blue eyes, "bluer than the sea" she thought. His leather jacket and ripped jeans fitting him oh so well. He had a commanding air around him, almost like how one would imagine a prince. He looked like he owned the place. So this was what everyone has been whispering about all day. The new kid.
She looked around as to see where the open seats were wondering where he would sit. She realized rather quickly that the only seat available was right in front of her. She turned back to the front of the class and listened as the new kid started introducing himself. Of course, he covered the basics. His name was Jordan, he used to live two hours away, he played football, he swam, etc. etc. Looking around it seemed that all of the other girls were drooling over him. Except her. She just expected him to be like all of the other jocks in the school, dating all of the popular girls, being a jerk to anyone else who didn't meet his "standards". She couldn't wait for this class to be over.
