Drarry prompt on tumblr: harry gets a panic attack from being locked in a cupboard as a prank and draco wants to know why, they talk about the Dursleys and fluffiness ensues!
Draco was walking through the hallways of Hogwarts when he began to hear someone shouting and crashing around. On further inspection he found the source of the noise coming a from a closet against the wall.
"Hello?" He said resting his ear against the door and out of all the students that could have been in there it had to be one certain person.
"Malfoy?" The voice shouted surprised and recognizing the voice Draco dropped his heard biting his lower lip slightly
"Potter…..What are you doing in there?" He asked
"I locked myself in here….WHAT DO YOU THINK HAPPENED" Harry yelled banging on door slightly as a slight smirk formed on Draco’s lips
"NOW GET ME OUT" Harry yelled once again before another bang was heard.
"Why should I?" Draco asked his eyebrow raised as he began to hear scratching against the door "Potter?" he said and nothing but silence was heard
"Harry" he added on afterwards concern in his tone….as his fingers scrambled to the doorknob opening the closet he saw Harry curled up on the closets floor tears staining his cheeks and eyes red a strange sight to see especially to Draco. Harry seemed to be the tough I’m the chosen one….who is popular with a perfect life, but at the moment Harry looked absolutely terrified and vulnerable. Sniffling softly Harry turned his head glancing at Draco sadly,
"Go on say something….Say your worst" he said and all Draco could do was stare at the boy below him. Swallowing slightly Draco knelt down beside Harry slowly not taking his eyes off him
"How can I say something when you look horrible" Draco murmured softly.
"Why were you crying?" he asked softer than he had expected looking at Harry with concern in his eyes, wait when did he ever worry about Harry Bloody Potter.
"You’ll laugh at me…then go around telling everyone at school" Harry muttered wiping away his tears as he went to get up and walk away. Before he could go any where far Draco caught Harry’s wrist and dragged him into an empty classroom.
"Harry…." He started staring at Harry seriously "Something happened to make you end up looking like that" Harry looked at Draco in surprise before saying
"Why do you even care Malfoy?…. Going to make me tell you my secret so then you can share it around the whole school" Harry muttered frowning at the blond.
"Bloody hell Harry" Draco cursed before he took a couple steps towards Harry and placed his lips against Harry’s softly before steppingback watching a very surprised chosen one.
"Wait….What..was…that?" Harry tried to say but failed at connecting words.
"Now you technically know one of my secrets….tell me why did you look like a terrified child back in that closet?" Draco said almost demanding to be told. He wanted to help, Harry out but couldn’t if he wasn’t told what happened.
Sighing to himself Harry slid down the wall till he reached the ground and said “Well…Before I came here I was living in a closet underneath the stairs at my Aunt and Uncles place” He closed his eyes remembering back;
"Uncle Vernon can I come out?" Harry called out from under the stairs as he could hear the telly going and his aunt, uncle and also his cousin Dudley were sitting down enjoying some late night snacks.
"No!" Vernon had shouted
"But it’s dark.." Harry softly cried till he heard heavy steps walk towards the door,
"Do you want to be able to be let out tomorrow?" Vernon growled raising an eyebrow as Harry shook his head
"Well then stop complaining…you should be thankful we took you in….and feed you and clothe you….stop being so selfish all the time" his aunt had shouted.
Draco stared at Harry shocked for a moment about how his life out of Hogwarts wasn’t so great after all that he thought.
"These are your muggle family?" Draco rose an eyebrow as Harry nodded
"Why do you even stay with them after all the stuff they’ve done to you?" Draco muttered softly
"They’re my family….I have no one else" Harry sighed "I wouldn’t expect you to understand" hearing that Draco stared at Harry with hurt in his eyes,
"You have no idea what happens to me….well practically no one knows….I have to stay at Malfoy manor going through my father’s beatings….so I can make sure he doesn’t lay a hand on my mother…I cannot complain…" Draco softly said as a comforting hand gripped his shoulder.
"Well I guess both our families is a complete" Harry whispered softly before pulling Draco into an embrace holding him tightly
"Why did you kiss me?" Harry asked randomly
"Why do you think I did? And why did you kiss back" Draco teased before placing another soft kiss against Harry’s lips.
