Eurovision Song Contest 2017's theme, Celebrate Diversity was chosen as this year's slogan for the contest.
42 Countries will be performing in Kyiv including Portugal 🇵🇹 and Romania 🇹🇩 who's making a comeback this year. Unfortunately, Bosnia and Herzegovina 🇧🇦 wasn't able to participate this year due to financial constraints.
Update (04-14-2017): EBU has announced that Russia's National Broadcaster, Channel One, will not participate and broadcast the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 following the travel ban for its artist, Julia Samoylova. Russia also turned down EBU's offer to send another artist or for Julia Samoylova to perform live via satellite from Russia. Australia 🇦🇺 was invited once again (for the 3rd time since 2015) to be a part of the contest and will be performing on the first Semi-Finals.
The 62nd Eurovision Song Contest will be hosted in Ukraine 🇺🇦, after Jamala's win in Stockholm last year with the song 1944.

After a long process of bidding, Kyiv was chosen once again as the host city of the contest (last one was in 2005). The contest will be held at the International Exhibition Centre

in the heart of Kyiv and will be hosted by Oleksandr Skichko, Volodymyr Ostapchuk and Timur Miroshnychenko.
Semi-Finals 1 will be held on May 9, 2017 (Tuesday), Semi-Finals 2 will be held on May 11 (Thursday), and the Grand Finals will be held on May 13, 2017 (Saturday).
The contest will also use the new voting system which was introduced last year in Stockholm. Each countries will award two sets of points (1-7, 8, 10 & 12), in which one set will be from the professional jury and the other set comes from the televotes.
