I dreamt of that night, it was horrible. There wasn't much to do, seeing as the wedding was tomorrow. I rolled over in bed, I blushed deeply. Regina was fast asleep in my bed, I smiled then got out of bed. I changed and left the room, I walked down the hall and down the stairs to the main room. I walked over to the big doors for the deck, and gently pushed up against them to open.
I walked over to the railing and looked out into the night sky. Looking down below I saw a fawn stuck in some type of trap. I quickly rushed down to the main door, and stepped outside. I carefully run up to the fawn not wanting to scare it.
"It's alright fella." I calmed the fawn.
I got closer, and closer then it started to squirm. It squealed in pain as the trap dug into its leg. I gently pet the fawns side to calm it, then I carefully pulled the bear trap open to free the fawn. It slowly wiggled its leg out and slowly limped in the bush. I gently let go of the trap, and watched the fawn.
The fawn slowly limped to its mother that wasn't to far from it. I slowly held my hand out, and the mother slowly and very causally came towards me. I didn't move, I stood there very still patiently waiting for it to come. It was a pretty deer, it was all light brown with light grey, and a beautiful light brown chest with small white spots.
After a while the deer actually let me pet her. Her wet nose touched my hand signaling me to pet her. I gently rubbed her nose with my hand, and slowly itched her ear. She looked happy. She came closer, and I pet her neck, then her back. I wasn't sure if she was thanking me, or if she was itchy.
Her pelt wasn't as soft as I imagined it to be, it felt a little like hay. I started to itch her ears again, and rub her neck. Something cracked a branch in a bush beside us, and it startled the deer. Her ears perked up, and then she ran to the fawn and carefully pushed it away. I looked at the bush to find out, a little bird snapped a branch.
I got up and started to walk back to the castle. I look behind me as the sun started to rise, I continued walking then stopped. I looked up and smiled, Regina had been watching me from up top. I made my way to Regina.
"Hey," I smiled as I walked behind her, wrapping my arms around her waist. "How was your sleep?"
"It was good." She smiled. "I was thinking of having a ride."
"In the carriage?" I asked.
"Yeah." She replied.
We smiled. "Sounds like a great idea." I said.
We held hands and started to walk downstairs, and outside. She helped me in the carriage, then we sat beside each other. I looked into her eyes, and she looked in mine. I kissed her, she kissed me back. I was happy. We went down a gravel path threw the forest, around a lake, near tiny water falls. It was a long ride, but it was a perfect ride for us and plenty time for us to be alone and together.
The carriage came to a stop, then we got out to walk down the dirt path for a while. We listened to the birds chirping, and the splashing of fish. Our hands clung, and the silence follows. It was nice having someone to love, and someone loving you back. Tomorrow is the day that our lives stay clung together forever.
