Hey there book lovers,

Welcome to another book review by Booksanonymous. It’s S here and I am going review Slated by Teri Terry.

This book is set in future Britain: approximately about 2040. The book follows a girl called Kyla Davis; she has been slated. Being slated means that your memory has been wiped therefore you forget who you are, what you became and all you friends and loved ones. The government claim that they do this for terrorists and those who are a danger to society and themselves. The story follows Kyla’s journey from just being slated to adjusting to society and the hostile attitudes towards her. As you can probably guess slaters (people who have been slated) aren’t the most popular people. This book explores Kyla’s abnormalities and why she can still be normal. Love and history are common themes in this book.

The character development in this book is amazing. At the start of the book she is dependent and fragile but as the story develops she becomes unique and self-reliant. The background in this book is chilling yet almost realistic. As a person who just started to read dystopian books, this book is very encouraging.

Overall on character development, scene background and narration: I just this book 4 question marks out of 5!

This is me signing out don't let life question you because you're the author. YOU CONTROL IT!
