After the Music class, it was lunch time. I was hungry as hell. I dashed towards the canteen like my life depends on it.
It does depend on it. I mean it's FOOD, who can life without it?
I can't.
After filling my lunch tray with fries and a burger, I searched for Sarah. I found her sitting with her friends in the left side of the canteen. I walked towards her slowly, almost scared. Why was I scared? Even I don't know. Maybe it was the fear of rejection, I don't know.
As I reached their table, all of them turned to look at me. Sarah stood up and hugged me.
"Guys, this is Flaura. She's new here and I thought we could be friends. Welcome to the group Flaura." Sarah said smiling at me.
I turned to look at all of them. There were 4 boys. All of them gave me friendly smiles and mumbled "Welcome to the group" or something like that.
I sat next to Sarah. She introduced me to everyone.
"Flaura, this is John."
John had blue eyes and blonde hair. He gave me a friendly smile.
Next was Blake. He had brown haur toussled up, and brown eyes. He winked at me.
Beside Blake, there were two guys. Both of them had blonde hair and brown eyes. I assume they are unidentical twins or something. Turns out, I was right. One of them was Sebastian, who got dimples when he smiles. The other one was Dylan. Dylan had a slight tan and he was surely cute.
We ate our lunches in silence till the whole student body turned to look at something. More like, someone.
There was Zach Parker, with two of his other friends.
"Um, who are those two boys with Zach?" I asked John.
"The blond one is Colleen and the other one is Max. But how do you know Zach?"
"Actually he's in my Music class." I explained to John.
He nodded and turned to talk with Sebastian. I turned to Blake and saw that he was already staring at me. I smiled at him and be returned it back.
"So Flaura. How was your first day in Will High this far?" Blake asked starting a conversation.
"Uh, it was nice I guess. Nothing major happened but I'm glad I made friends." I told him smiling.
He nodded smiling too. Suddenly, there was a loud crashing sound. As we turned to look at the "Popular Table", where Zach, all those jocks and cheerleaders sat, we saw that a girl wearing butt shorts was pouring her juice all over another girl, whom I suppose is a nerd judging by her clothes and big rimmed glasses.
Everyone started laughing at her. As she looked up, her eyes met mine. Tears were welling up in her eyes. She dashed out of the canteen.
"I'm gonna go to washroom." I told Sarah running after the crying girl.
As I reached the washroom, I heard crying sounds from inside a stall. I softly knocked on the door.
"Hey, um, I saw you crying. I came here to check on you. Are you okay?" I asked her completely dumbfounded. Lame line. I know.
The door of the stall opened, and there she stood. Her eyes were puffy and red from all the crying she did in past few minutes.
As I was watching her, she took me off gurarded and hugged me. I awkwardly hugged her back. Drawing circles on her back with my hand in a ressuring manner.
