Alex POV
It's been a while since the encounter with Roman. After everything we've been through it's nice to get a chance to relax. Anyways, the school dance was coming up and almost everyone at the school except for Jaune andI had a date. I could tell that Pyrrha had a thing for Jaune, but the dude was too damn dense to realize it. Ruby didn't want a date, though. I guess it's because of her age. Anyways, I had a feeling Weiss was going with Neptune and Yang was going solo or waiting for someone to ask her. I was planning on asking Blake since she didn't look like she seemed interested in anyone. I did sometimes notice that she would blush whenever I was around. After looking for her on her usual places I decided to ask the others if they've seen her. After getting some worrisome answers I decided to go talk with her and Yang came along. We soon found her in one of the classrooms. "What do you two want?" She said as she kept her eyes on her scroll, as if searching for something.

"We need to talk." Yang said as she sat across from her and sat in between.

"Is something up, you seem out of it." I asked her as she looked at me.

"It's just that Torchwick is still at large and no one is doing anything. He's still out there planning his next move and everyone is relaxing when we should be searching." She said as we looked at her.

"Look Blake, we know your trying to bring him down, but what good can you do if you're tired and not fit for battle?" Yang said as Blake looked down a bit. "We're all worried about you Blake, and we want you to be ready when we do battle Torchwick."

"She's right." I said as they both looked at me. "Even us pilots need to rest at some point. Otherwise we're just putting more stress on ourselves, making us a bigger target."

"Thanks guys, I needed that." Blake said as Yang stood up.

"Well, I'm gonna leave you two be, seems like someone has something they want to say." She said as I blushed a bit. After she left, Blake looked at me and saw my blush.

"What's up?" She asked me as I looked at her.

"Oh, uh, it's just that, I was wondering if you wanted to go to the dance with me." I said in embarrassment as her face was as red as Ruby's cape.

"S-S-Sure, is love to." She said as she got up and started to walk out.

"Really, cool. So, how does six thirty sound?" I asked as she kept walking towards the door.

"S-S-Sounds good, I'll see you then." She said as she left. After that, I went to my room to get into my casual wear and head into town. After getting into my usual attire, I looked in the mirror
and saw that my hair had grown out. It had gone from buzzed to mid length. I combed it to what it used to be and I had to say, I looked pretty good.

Now all that I had to do was get a tux and I was set.

I had finished getting ready and I had to say, I'm not used to wearing suits.

You know what they say though, dress to impress. Anyways, it was six fifteen so I decided to pick up Blake and head to the dance. After five minutes of walking, I reached her dorm and knocked on the door. I was greeted by Blake in a black formal dress and her signature bow.

In all honesty, I couldn't help but stare

In all honesty, I couldn't help but stare. "Hey, you're here early." She said as I snapped out of it.

"Yeah, I just wanted to get here early since the dance starts soon." I said as I couldn't help but blush. When she saw this, she giggled a bit due to my embarrassment. "Well then, let's be off."

"Agreed." She said as we linked arms. After a good couple of minutes we reached the ball room and were greeted by Yang looking over at us.

"Hey you two." She said as she walked over to us. "I see you two make quite the catch."

"Thanks." I said as a few more people started to show up. I gotta say, I've never seen anything like this before. This was one of the biggest moments of my life and if I'm being honest, it was pretty great. I could tell Blake was enjoying it since she was smiling the whole time. After a while, we went up to one of the balconies and looked at the stars. "Today sure has been something." I said as she smiled at me.

"Yeah, it sure has." She said as a slow song came on and could be heard from up here.

"May I have this dance?" I asked her as I reached out my hand to her.

"You may." She said as she took my hand in hers and we danced the night away. Today was one day that I would never forget.
