Mark got out of the car, now heading to the cabin. Just before he opened the door, he noticed the modern cabin door. A white door who matched perfectly well, with the oak tree-coloured cabin wood. The windows was big and fogged, with the cooler air.

As Mark walked in, he noticed how much it was changed. Now modern white leather chairs, instead of dark wood colour. In the utility-room, was small compared to the living-room. Mark walked, obvious surprised and amazed, by the 'new' looking cabin design.

In the living-room, huge windows, going from the floor to the roof. The roof was maybe 12 feets tall. He walked further, over to the windows, starring at the beautiful view. A little garden, with tall Christmas trees going further into the woods.

"There's a river. Longer into the woods." Marks Mothers voice said. Mark turned, and faced a cracked Mother. She was looking stift out of the window. Her eyes a bit red of crying, and slobby crossed arms.

She sighed, and changed her look down to the floor. "The guest room is upstairs..." She turned around and headed out of the opened room. The two-feet kitchen door, was on the wall longer a way from the sofa. Mark inhaled and began his way up to of the stairs, to the guest room.

On the way up, a two-parted hall. On the right hand, the lonely hall continued, and in the bottom of the hall, a door was. On the left hand, there otherwise, three doors was.

Mark opened the first door, of the three. Bathroom. He walked over to the opened it. It exposed a little bedroom, with a desk and a chair. In the corner of the room a television, with a PlayStation. Over the bed, a shelf hang, with a few video games.

My room? I guess not. I didn't brought anything... wait.

Mark walked out of the room, into the next. There was a white, clean bed. An empty desk, and a lonely chair in the corner. He looked behind the door, and there stood a big, old wardrobe. Not fitting in the environment.

He sat on the bed, bounced a bit, and heard it creak. Mark stood back up, and walked down stairs, again.

The big windows in the living room, had a door knob in the window corner, hidden behind a curtain.

He slowly opened the big window, and stepped out side. The hospital-sandals, he sill had on. The little terrace was the some wooden colour as the cabin. A little two-stepped chair, led down the wet grass. The first step down, was hard. The pain in his side was terrible, and reminded Mark of the accident. Mark got down to the green grass, wet of the awful weather in Ireland.

He bowed down, and touch the wet grass. He loved the colour, it was also his favorite colour. A flash, of a dark coloured shape, of a short height, was showed in between the trees. Mark looked up, noticing it, blinking of the shape.

When he made a movement, trying to get up, the creature disappeared behind the next tree. Mark thought nothing of it, and continued rubbing the grass, in slow movements, missing the touch of the grass back at his home.

He stood straight up, and breathed out. Enjoying the silent, and the slow breeze.

The next he heard, was what he thought was a call from his mother, from the house. But when he turned around to look at the house. Nobody was standing there. He returned to his original standing place, when he spotted the same creature, now closer than before. Mark took a step closer to the woods, and like before, the shadow, disappeared.

Now the thing has gotten Marks attention, and just as bullheaded he is, he walked over to the tree, the shadow was seconds before. He looked behind it, and nothing was there. He walked the way trough the bushes, moving on the second tree, the shadow disappeared. Nothing either.

Without Mark notice, he walked deeper into the woods, looking for the creature.

The sun, started moving down in the horizon. And Mark was tired. The same rock, appeared for the third time. His side, was hurting all the time now. But he was getting use to it. The same path, he has turned the same time, split. All the other times, he had turned right. But when he stood there, thinking, he saw the shadow, but doubled.

The now two shadows, was behind some trees, on the left side of the path. Mark got excited of the sight of them. The one he had been looking for. He whined out, like a child, and clenched his fist. Of the whine, the shadows disappeared again.

Mark stood there unamused by his actions. He then took the quick decision, and walked by the left path.

The trees was shinning in the light of the sun, the grass flustering, by the water drops. Mark was so absorbed by the beautiful sight of nature, that he didn't concentrate of, where he was going. While walking in his thoughts, he accidentally bumped into a tall tree.

He took to his head, in pain. His arm, fell fast down next to his side, again. The was standing on some sort of hill. The view, made Mark lose his speaking ability. A river, was stretched from the beginning of the hill, and lost sight in the horizon.

The beautiful, fire, burning sun, was going down, where you lost the sight of the river. On both sides of the river, was a few feets, open land. Then the same trees, came from the forest again. Mark was standing there, forgetting the pain.

His eyes got caught of  something in the woods. Mark squinted his eyes, trying to get a better look. A small human figure, surrounded by the same shadows from before. Now, they more looked like big dogs, with a dark fur.

The small human figure, was running away from the dogs, then stopped, and ran the other away, while the dogs right after him.

Mark convinced himself, that he should go talk to human. He looked around the hill, trying to get a better perspective of where, he had a chance to go down from, without hurting himself. The only way down, was going down a steep way, which Mark would do anything to avoid.

The hill, had a little path, leading down to the river and the land.

Maybe if i just go that way, and jump over to the land?

He grapped the opportunity, and turned, leading his foot down, to the first part of the path, down the hill. He took a step more, when he was sure, he was in balance. Now nearly hanging of the hill, from the cliff. His grip loosed, when the third step was locked.

He kept moving, until he was only near ground, a few feets. Marks confident, has growned for every step. So when he was just about to place his feet on a loose rock, he forgot to check if it was firm.

In the movement his feet slept, and he only held on with one hand. The pain in his side, was burst to the utmost. He could only think of one bad decision to make, so the insecure go. Within a second apart, he felt heavy into the river.

The splash the waters sounded around him, wasn't high enough, to let Mark float further in the river. And let him swim around, for hours, with his last strength. Instead Mark hissed out, from the lack of air.

He was harsh placed on the back, in the cold water, twitching with his eyes, trying to focus on not passing out. His vision got more and more blurry. And just before Mark was out of focus, he saw a sketch face, looking down on him.

Then the dark returned, and the sounds around him faded out...
