So, if you haven't already guessed from the tags, title, or description, this book is a cg/l story. I would be surprised if you didn't know what the cg/l lifestyle is, but if you don't, let me shed some light on the subject *bows*;
Urban Dictionary states; "Care Giver / Little. CGL, or cg/l, is a relationship in which one person is the caregiver or "daddy/mommy" and the other is childlike. It is NOT a relationship between an actual parent and child or any minor (if sexual). This is a type of relationship that may or may not involve sex, but often involves play with child-like things, such as stuffed animals, bed-time stories, and spankings. The little part of the relationship is often called the "little one."
And this is true, but it doesn't explain that the caregiver gives the little rules, punishments, and rewards. And that the little sometimes has codes for the caregiver (kinda like bdsm but sometimes the relationship isn't sexual). It doesn't state that there is a state that us littles go into, which is called littlespace.
Basically littlespace is a state of mind that littles go into the helps them relax and where they and start to act like a kid (it's not an act, there's just no other way I could explain it). The amount of time a little is in little space varies from one little to the other. But some littles can't control it and just go into it when something like your caregiver calling you a certain pet name. And even some littles are always in littlespace.
Caregivers are the one that take care of littles and each one are different, just like the little. of instance, they like to be called different things like Mommy or Daddy, which is the most popular. Some caregivers even like to be called something specific like Momma or Papa. They have a love for the little that no one could even explain.
Switches are people who are both a caregiver and a little, not exactly sure how it works since I am not a switch.
You'll get the jist of it if you don't understand.
This lifestyle is in no way to offend anyone or make fun of disorders. And again each little and caregiver are different.
