BEEP BEEP BEEP

I hear my alarm clock loud and clear. I open my eyes, being consumed by the bright light. I turn on my side, looking straight at the time on my alarm clock. I just saw a red blurr, seeing as I just woke up. I reach my hand out, trying to find the button to shut it off. Once I find it, I hit it, and the alarm clock finally stops. I slowly and gracefully sat up, rubbing my eyes so I could see clearer. I looked around the room, before finally paying attention to the time. 6:41 A.M.

The sun shone through the blinds on my window, making me finally push the covers off my lazy-ass body. I looked down at my legs, completely forgetting the fact that I cut myself. There were scars, around 2 centimeters deep each time. I stared at the blood stained razorblade I use, deciding to finally slide out of bed, so I did so. I quickly walked over to the window first thing, shutting my curtains without hesitation. Right after that, I went into my bathroom, only right across our corridor. I opened the door slowly and quietly, making sure my mom doesn't hear me.

I closed it behind me, looking in the mirror.

You should be ashamed. That? That's the uglyiest thing I've ever seen. No wonder why you've been single all your life

"Shut up!" I whisper-yell at the voices in my head. They always are there. I understand why. I'm the most insecure, weakest, person in the world. I quickly look away from the mirror, feeling a salty tear slide down my face. I turned back around, looking down at my faucet. I turn it on, splashing cold water in my face to wake up. I feel a shock of energy hit my body, so I quickly turn the faucet back off, walking back to my room to get ready for my first day of school. I'll be a senior this year. At least after this year I won't have to go back. I'll feel a little more freedom.

"Have a good day!" My mom yells as I exit the car. I hop up onto the sidewalk that leads to the school. I pull my backpack strap back on my shoulder as I walk into school. As I push the handle on one of the doors leading me in, I see a bunch of popular kids talking and whispering. I quickly look down at my white converse high tops and a piece of my long, brown hair slides in front of my face. As I rush past them, I bump into something, or someone. I clumsily fall back, dropping my notebook I doodle in.

"I-I'm so um, sorry!" He says. I look up, brushing the piece of hair out of my face, seeing a boy around seventeen years old. That's my age. He has very dark brown, silky looking hair. Brown, chocolate colored eyes and when he smiles as what I've seen so far, he has very crooked bottom teeth but they look pearly white as well. He puts a hand in front of me, gesturing for me to take it so he can help me up. I grab my doodle book as it was literally right next to me and grab his hand as he pulls me up.

"O-oh.. it's f-fine," I reply, stuttering a little.

"What's your name?" He asks.

"Katie... K-Katie Green," I reply, "W-wha... what's yours." I looked back down as I notice I was staring at his chocolate colored eyes.

"I'm Tyler, Tyler Joseph, nice to meet you," he says.

"S-sorry, I'm just really shy," I say, blushing. I was flushed with red, I looked like a tomato.

"Don't worry, I'm a little socially awkward," he says. When he said that I felt a little less nervous, so I looked back up at him.

"Can we exchange numbers? I think you'd be a good friend, well if you wanna be friends I-" he says stopping himself. I kinda giggle at how he was acting, it was funny.

"Of course," I say, grabbing a piece of white paper out of my pocket and a pencil. I quickly write down my number. Katie: ***-***-****

I fold the tiny white paper 4 times and hand it to him, seeing he did the same. I open the paper, smiling knowing I might have finally made a friend.

Tyler:

***-***-****

Call me as soon as possible ^_^

I fold the paper back up and stick it in my pocket. As soon as I did that, the bell rang, making me look back down at my converse and running to class. I already memorized my schedule.

But I'm going to call that boy, I mean Tyler, tonight. I hope I can become friends with someone. Even if he does seem flawless...
