Lost Creek Pack

Ch 2

Speeding down the empty road I glance at my watch to check the time, 7 o'clock, smiling I slow my speed to 45 knowing I have time to stop for breakfast at the nearby diner. 10 minutes pass as I pull into the small local diner, I pull into a parking spot and shut my bike off as I try not to be rude to the other customers. Taking my helmet off, I unzip my backpack and put it inside. I walk into the diner getting a few angry glances, I quickly head to an empty seat and wait so I can order my usual. I check my phone to see a text from one of my friends Jess.

"see you in first period, hope you got the homework done so I can copy."

I sigh and shake my head. of course, I forgot to do the homework, grabbing my bag, and pulling out the work for AP biology, and begin to do my homework as the waiter comes up. I ordered a cup of black coffee and eggs, toast, and bacon. As he leaves I begin to work until my orders come. I finish the work along with checking to see if I finished my other classes work. looking at the clock it's 7:20 I eat pretty quickly knowing it'll take me 20 more minutes to get to school. Sometimes I hate that my pack lives far away but it's safer for humans. I pay for my order and say a quick thank you as I head out and hop on my bike and begin the drive to school.

20 minutes later

I pull into the parking lot seeing that the blonde already made it to school as she talks to other pack members, she shoots me a quick glare and continues to talk to her friends. I make my way into the building and head to my first period where Natalie and I hang out. I give her my work, the teacher doesn't care, he is a wolf too. We don't need to go to school but our Alpha makes us.

I sit through all 7 periods with not too much trouble and not too much homework. I begin to make my way to my bike as I see a HUGE scratch along the side of my bike, I let out a low growl as some people stare, the blonde walks up to me.

"oops, sorry I may have scratched your bike with my bag, it was an accident," she says with sarcasm laced in her words. I put my helmet on and push her out of the way and start my bike and leave quickly as my wolfs on the verge of coming out.

I make it home in 30 minutes, yes I was speeding my way home. Parking my bike I let a really loud growl out and I feel my eyes shift to black. I make my way through the pack house and my alpha sees me. He mind links me.

"Meet me in my office, now"

Sighing I head up to his office, calming myself on the way.

I knock twice and open the door.

"You called me Alpha," I say.

"Yes, I was told that you made a scene at school, care to tell me about it."

"Yeah, Trisha scratched my bike and acted like she did it on accident"

"ill speak with her, but you shouldn't have made a scene-"

"I DIDNT MAKE A SCENE, I just pushed her out of my way so I could get home," I say with a hint of anger in my tone.

Alpha glares at me and says, "You know not to speak to me in that tone, remember who is Alpha, go ahead and go train ill speak to Trisha about the incident."

I head downstairs towards the back of the house where the training grounds are located. I see the head warrior beginning training I quickly rush over, eager to learn new techniques. As I begin sparring with another warrior quick to dodge any incoming attack and landing a few strong hits my partner was down. The head warrior walks over to me and tells me that soon ill be taking over his position that I am ready. I smile and thank him for all the extra training. Soon I would have to spar with him for the title, that much I knew.

Heading towards the packhouse I see my father headed towards me.

"Yeah, dad?" I say 

"Alpha wants to see you for something very important," he tells me.

I quickly follow my dad up to the alphas office, he knocks and we both enter. The alpha turns to me.

He tells me in a serious tone, "Shadow, I know you are training really hard to become a warrior, I appreciate that, so tonight after dinner you will challenge the lead warrior for the title. You are already a great warrior one of the best I know you will be a great commander over all the other warriors."

******After Dinner******

Changing into leggings and a sports bra with no shoes, I head to the backyard of the packhouse I see a circle drawn where our flight would be, and standing in the middle is the lead warrior, Jermey. Walking into the circle I say," Jeremy Lead warrior of Lost Creek pack, I challenge you for your title."

Jeremy said," I accept your challenge Shadow"

We both get into our fighting stances in human form and we both go in for the offensive I manage to pin him to the ground and break a few of his ribs until he kicks me off as I stumble back he shifts into his wolf form, smirking I shift also as he comes running at me anger in his eyes I dodge his attack and bite his hind leg hearing him whimper he catches me off guard and bites my tail. Letting out a slight whine I shake it off and bump really hard into him sending him into a tree he whines as he gets up, charging me I attempt to move out of the way but he manages to claw my back leg, snarling at him I go after him snapping at his neck I hold onto his fur and he whimpers I get a good hold and lock my jaws further into his fur and I taste his blood in his mouth. Whimpering he submits to me as he can no longer take the pain of all the broken bones. Releasing him I give him a wolf grin and I go into the forest to shift. After I shift I feel a new power take over me as I gain the title of Lead warrior. Smiling the Alpha pats me on the back and congratulates me.

The Alpha along with my family head upstairs to his office. 

He turns to me and says, "Since you're the new lead warrior you will need to be ready in two days to come with the other high-ranking members and myself to visit another pack about an alliance, along with them moving closer to us." My Alpha tells my father and myself.

We both say in unison "yes sir."

As my father leaves I turn to the Alpha, "Sir, what about school?"

"You will no longer go, I know how skilled you are, you don't need it"

I nod my head and dash out of the room to find Jermey I find him in the kitchen grabbing some cereal, I smile as he turns to me.

"Congratulations Warrior,"he says as he pulls me into a hug.

I smile and hug him back whispering, "thank you for teaching me so much, I really appreciate it."

We both release each other and he looks me in the eyes, "now you need to find your mate"

I roll my eyes, "I'm doing perfectly fine without him or her, I'm not like everyone else waiting to find their mate."

He laughs and shakes his head walking out of the kitchen, I grab a sandwich and begin to walk out of the kitchen bumping into Trisha again.

Shee looks at me with disgust, "Move out of the way mutt" as she tries to shove me.

I raise an eyebrow at our Alpha says with authority in his tone, "Trisha that is no way to speak to your new lead warrior now is it?"

Trisha looks at me with wide eyes with a hint of anger in her tone, "sorry warrior" as she quickly walks away.
