"C'mon Ari, wake up ! We're going to pick up Kendall" Kathy shouted in my ear.
Kendall was Katherine's older brother that is away in college . Surprisingly, for my 7 years of knowing her, I still haven't met him.
"Okay, okay I'm up" I said annoyed in my sleepy voice as she walked out.
I drifted back to sleep & not even 30 seconds later she came & dragged me out of the bed.
"Kat !" I screamed as I got up & brushed myself of noticing I had a rug burn.
"I told ya to get up" she said as she went to my closet , well it's technically her's because this is her room & I come to her house when my mother is too drunk to care about me.
"Here put on this" she said finally returning from her closet giving me a bra, pantie, a pretty green dress with flowers on it & a pink bow to wear on my head.
I playfully rolled my eyes & snatched them from her and made my way to the bathroom. Brushed my teeth,washed my face & the rest of my body. I put on some Bath & Body Works lotion called 'Paris' & began to put on my clothing. I put on some light makeup such as lipgloss mascara & eyeliner . I just threw my hair up into a simple, neat bun. I looked into the full body mirror and twirled around admiring what I saw.
I even took a few Instagram & twitter pictures and uploaded them. I walked out of the bathroom to be greeted by the sweet smell of homemade pancakes & applewood bacon.
I headed down stairs to see Kathy & Mama Green dressed already & Mama Green was throwing down in the kitchen.
"Good morning loves" I said sweetly as I sat next to Kathy at the bar.
"Morning Ari" they said in unison.
"Okay, so here's the deal. We're gonna eat breakfast here & get coffee & lattes from Starbucks . Sounds good?" said Ma Green as she smiled & turned off the stove.
"Yeah !!!" we said excitedly as Mama laughed handing us our plates along with syrup.
We ate up fast & boy was it good. We mad our way to Mama's skyblue convertible that she loved oh so much , she even named it Dolly!
We turned on the radio & played "All that matters" by Justin Bieber . That was me & Kathy's favorite song.
We began to sing & Kathy's voice was terrible & screechy. But mines on the other hand was pretty nice , I could it a few notes. I mean I was Beyoncé but I was getting there.
We pulled up at Starbucks & we all ordered Black Coffee with sugar & creamer and headed back to the car.
Kendall attended school at FAMU university. He was in the band & majored in Music & Art and minored in Psychology .
I sat in the car & sipped my coffee as I played on my phone. Luckily, I charged up my phone last night because it was a 6 hour & 12 minute ride from Boca Raton to Tallahassee! That's like traveling from Louisiana to Florida !
I sighed as I sat down patiently for the long ride.
At least I had my best friend to accompany me so the ride won't be that boring.
