The music was blaring, at least it was a good song. My Sharpest Lives by My Chemical Romance. So we walked across the floor Ashley yelled something that sounded like, "What about Partners in crime?" So I yelled back, "Partners in crime sounds like a good choice, Ash!" She smiled, and I wondered what she was thinking. We applied for the song, and then went for the dance floor. The floor flashed a bunch of different colors. The song was on its last bar, and I remember the person going first was singing a slow song. So I called out to Ashley and put my hand up for her. She turned and smiled grabbing my hand. I wonder if she knew what I knew about the song. Like when it was going to end or not. If only there was a way to know both sides of the story....
The woman ends the song off on a sad note. "Just the end of me." The words left her out of breath and in tears. Huge applause, she bowed. Then the host called for us, "Ashley and Ambrosia, get your gay selves on this frickin' stage! Whoo!" She said overly excited into the microphone. Apparently the song hadn't effected her at all. We both got up on the stage, knowing Ash sung better than me I tried to urg her to go first but she handed me one of the mics first. Motioning for the music to start. But I knew this wasn't gonna work.
Halfway through the song I made Ash sing a solo. She did amazing, I wish I could sing like her. So then we began to sing together. We both chorused off, "You'll never take us alive!" Surprisingly they let us sing the entire song. How'd that happen?
