A girl let out a breath she didn't know she had been holding as she shut the door to the room. She had long flowing raven hair and deep brown eyes. She wore a tight black dress that stopped just below her knees. She was stunningly beautiful.
She was thankful that Karu aloud her this time to see him. Even if she wasn't supposed to care, she couldn't not visit her baby.
She walked up to the small bed where a little boy slept. He was sound asleep as she brushed a few strands out of his face. She knew Karu and his wife would take good care of him, but she hated to leave. She and her family were going back to America, she knew it would be best to get space from Japan for a little while, even if it meant leaving him.
It was clear that she was his mother, he had her hair, the shape of her eyes, even her chin. She just hoped that one day, when she came back, he would be able to forgive her of leaving him. Even if he didn't, she understood, people can't just walk out of your life and expect to be welcomed back in. Especially since he would never be able to understand why she did it.
She sighed, knowing she couldn't stay too long. She leaned down and placed a kiss on the boy's forehead, "I'll come back and see you soon, Taurtis."
She smiled down at him, before quietly walking out of the room. She walked to the door and put on her fur coat before head out the door, but unbeknownst to her, she was being followed. She would never make it home. She would never see Taurtis, her husband, or anyone else ever again.

"You seriously need to stop it," Grian laughed.
"What? I'm aloud to be cheesy sometimes," Taurtis said as he ate his chocolate ice cream.
"But you're being too cheesy."
"No such thing."
"Whatever," Grian laughed again before turning his attention back to his strawberry ice cream.
Taurtis smiled, his hand fidgeting in his lap as they were sat on a park bench. He was nervous, and there was a good reason why. It was his first actual date with Grian, he wanted to make sure it went nicely, to prove that he could be an awesome boyfriend. Of course, it didn't help that there were a lot of awkward pauses, but he guessed it was okay, since they were eating after all.
Grian finished his ice cream cone and glanced at Taurtis. He started laughing when he saw he had gotten some of his ice cream on his cheek. Taurtis raised his eyebrow at him, "What?"
"You've got a little bit of ice cream right there," Grian pointed to his cheek.
Taurtis tried to wipe it, but he missed. Grian smiled, "Here, let me get it."
Grian wiped the ice cream off with his finger, "There."
"Thanks," Taurtis smiled at him, "I, umm, I was thinking we could go to the movies after this, if you would like?"
Grian smiled, "Yeah, that would be nice."
After Taurtis finished his ice cream, they headed to the movies, where they decided to watch a horror movie, which left them both a little jumpy as they walked back to their dorm.
"It was good, but I still think the zombies could have look a little better," Taurtis said.
"Yeah, the makeup was really bad," Grian agreed.
Taurtis realized that somewhere along the time of them walking, their hands had somehow intertwined, not that Taurtis was complaining. He smiled and swung their hands as they walked.
"Did you have fun?" Taurtis asked as the reached the door to their dorm.
"I did, actually," Grian admitted.
"What? Did you think you wouldn't?" Taurtis asked offended.
"No, it was nice to go out for a while," Grian said as they entered the dorm.
"Well, that's good. I'm glad it wasn't horrible," Taurtis said nervously as he scratched the back of his neck.
"We should do it again some time," Grian suggested.
"Are you asking me out?" Taurtis teased.
"Maybe I am," Grian said as he peck Taurtis on the cheek, "Night."
Grian quickly walked into his room and shut the door. Taurtis stood there dumbfounded. He raised a hand to his cheek and smiled. He couldn't wait to spend more time with Grian.
---
A gun shot rang out through the alleyway. Taurtis barely had anytime to process what was going on, he just froze. His eyes widened as he stared in front of him. Jaycee dropped the gun, and gripped her side as she dropped to her knees.
Taurtis looked to the side to see Dom standing in alley. He must snuck up when they weren't paying attention. Jaycee glared at him, "What gives you the-" "Shut it," Dom said bluntly before putting a bullet through her head.
He turned to Taurtis and Grian, "You two alright?"
Taurtis nodded, he glanced at Grian, who was still a little shocked. Taurtis pulled Grian into a hug, holding him close. Grian slowly snaked his arms around Taurtis, snuggling his head into Taurtis's chest.
"You okay?" Taurtis whispered.
"Yes, but Taurtis," Grian looked up at him, "If something like this happens again, you have to tell me. You can't just keep it to yourself. We're a team, remember?"
Taurtis kissed him on the forehead, "I'm sorry."
"It's okay. I'm just glad you're not hurt. You idiot, you could have died. What would I have done without you?" Grian teared up.
"I know, I'm sorry. I just stupid sometimes."
The two rocked back and forth as they continued to embrace each other. They pulled away slightly, through Taurtis still had his arm around Grian's waist. Taurtis glanced to where Dom was awkwardly standing, waiting for the two. Taurtis pulled Grian closer and whispered in his ear, "Let's go home."
