Dirt, A Racing Story

-Chapter II-

   Sally and I went to my room and chi)ed out on my bed. Just lying there relaxing. She had two cuddled up against me and wrapped her arm around me. We must have laid there at least an hour didn't she hunger. She was hungry. so I got up. "What would you like to eat?"
"A burger sounds good."
I agreed. We got up and went down stairs to the kitchen where dad always seemed to sit. I guess that was his living room.
"What are you two up too?"
"Oh we were thinking about going to get a burger. Want anything?"
" yes I'm actually now that you have mentioned it. pick Mom and I both a jalapeno double cheeseburger with onion rings and too large dr. peppers but order it like 10 minutes before y'all get ready to leave so it will still be warm once y'all get."
"Yes sir, dad."
" we all need extra money for it?"
"No sir I can cover it. You always pay for our food when we go out or get take out. I don't mind doing the same dad."
"You're a good son. Haha. Ok well y'all two have fun."
"Yes sir we will," Sally and I both said in unison as we walked out the door.
"I've never seen anyone as respectful towards their parents As You Are".
" well Sally that's how I was raised haha".
" you are such a sweetheart."
"I know,"I said.
We both stopped into the car and I cranked it up as usual and slowly backed out of the driveway. We headed to Bob's Burgers come to think about it today was there grand re re re opening. They make a lot of money they just had bad luck over the years. like for instance one year they're building caught on fire and they had to remodel the whole thing. They have themed burgers and all sorts of stuff they have the regular customers which everyone's always nice. Bob's whole family actually works there. great place to eat. We parked and we went inside.
"Get there Mr. Bob. How are you doing"?
"Oh. Well I guess I can't complain. Can I get y'all anything? "
" Yes sir. What would you like Sally?"
" I'll have the hamburger cheese Mountain. With a side of tater tot boulders and a large Pepsi no ice."
"Ok Sally. How about you danny"?
I'll take the same thing add pickles and jalapenos and extra extra cheese."
"Yes sir. I'll have that right out. Anything else I can get yall?"
" yes sir. My dad wants two jalapeno cheese burgers and to signs of tater tots and two large dr. peppers but he wanted me to tell you not to make it until we're almost done so it'd be a little fresh".
"Ok. So what's your old man been up to lately?"
" funny you ask that Bob. he's about to start racing a sponsored World of Outlaws super dirt late model. And he told me that he's going to put me am IMCA Mod. We are having a meeting tomorrow with Mr. Harrison and Steve from Jester Customs. Before the races start."
" wow congratulations that sounds cool and tell your dad the same thing."
"Yes sir I will. How much do I owe you Bob?"
" no you don't owe me anything it's on the house."
" are you sure mr. Bob?"
" yep sure am. it's a congratulations from me to you and your dad."
" well thank you sir we greatly appreciate it and I'll make sure dad knows as well".
Sally and I sat down and ate. When we were finished, we grabbed mom and dads good and went back to the house.
" mr. Bob said congratulations Dad. and he said the food is on the house for the good news."
" well I'm going to have to thank him next time I see him thanks for picking this up for some son."
" no problem dad."
We went back up stairs and put Big Fish on to watch. Sally say next to me and lit us up two cigarettes. Then she gave me a hug. We say there watching our movie. Out if nowhere she grabbed my hand and started holding to which was unusual. She never does that. And she scooted in closer to me. So we say there like that for the rest of the movie. When it was over she picked out, Warm Bodies. I love that movie so much. We started watching that. She grabbed my hand again. I looked up at her. She looked over at me and smiled. With unspoken words we continued watching the movie. I have use that bathroom so she paused it and I went to pee. Afterward I washed my hands and came out to see that she moved to the bed. So I I sat on my side of the bed. I say there waiting for her to push play but she never did. I looked over at her to see what she was doing and she leaned in a kisses my lips softly. I started having feelings I never had before. I like it. My tummy had fireflies flying and iluminating. It was pure bliss. I looked at her for a few minute before I opened my mouth to speak.
" what was that for?"
"I have to talk to you danny.".
I nooded.
"For a long time now. I've been contemplating about this, and I've made up my mind. I'm in love with you. I've been tapping my brain in how took tell you hoping it doesn't mess with our friendship. I came to the conclusion Monday after you asked if I wanted to spend the weekend with you. That I was going to confess to you about how I really felt. Knowing I could ruin everything we have."
There was silence for a few minutes as I searched for the right words to say. "Sally. I'm a little shocked to be honest. We've been friends for ever. I've never thought about us in that way. I mean i know that normal friend don't do some of the things that we do. And I love you unconditionally. With that being said. I think I feel the same way. I think I'm in love with you."
She looked at me and smiled. She leaned in to kiss me again. We kissed so passionately. We held each other for a few minutes until we broke away from each others grip. She pushed plays, giggled and took my hand again. I had a shit eating from on my face.  I was so happy.
