Chapter 6

"TORI,TORI!!!!!"
Someone was screaming,
My vision was blurry as my eyes could finally see who was staring at me.
"Oh my god thank god you're ok"
I saw Liam's handsome face looking down at me his blue eyes staring at me with worry
"W-what? Happened?"I stuttered
"A serpent attacked you and Jake." Zoe explained
"Jake protected you and rescued you"said Kate
"Where's Jake?!?!? "I screamed panic rising I my throat
"I'm right here."I looked over and saw him walk towards me
"I would've made sure you were ok, but I hate the stench of bloodsuckers."he stated with disgust.
"Are you ok?"Serena asked her eyes bright with worry.
"I'm fine, thanks to you guys" I said
"Thanks for saving me Jake."I added sending a grateful glance his way.
He shrugged and looked away
I tried getting up but my foot gave way then I felt strong arms around me
I looked up
"Careful mouse, I don't want you getting hurt."
He looked at me with his stormy blue eyes full of concern and a spark of something I couldn't quite catch.
"Ok ok! She's fine! You don't have to stare at her like that!" Serena's eyes were full of fire.
Liam turned to her "You shouldn't be so rude." He stated in a cold voice
Serena shrunk and tears filled her eyes
"You didn't have to be so harsh." Zoe hissed
Comforting her friend
I limped over to Jake
"Are you ok??." We asked at the same time.
"I'm fine." We said in unison Jake narrowed his eyes
"Stop copying me!." We both looked at each other. Jake gave me his crooked smile and I felt my stomach clench.
When we looked back Liam was staring coldly at Jake. Serena was crying, Kate and Zoe tried comforting her.
My leg gave way again and I crumpled but stood my ground
Jake sat me down and lifted my jeans revealing a swollen bite with bloody teeth marks.
"That serpent bit you." Jake said his eyes full of concern and anger
"Why didn't you tell me!" He shouted
"W-well I didn't even-." I stammered
"Shut up" he cut me off
"What's wrong?" Liam asked
Then he saw the bite mark and froze
"It's just a bite mark, no need to worry." I said
Everyone stared at me wide eyed and Kate approached me
"Well, you see Tori-." She tried to explain
"Are you stupid?!?!" Jake yelled
Serpent bites are poisonous to vampires!."
I looked up at them with horror in my eyes.
"What's the cure?" Asked Liam
"The dew of the golden lotus flower, which are guarded by werewolves."Jake said solemnly
"Well then we have to go get it!" yelled Kate
"It won't be easy." Zoe said
"I will do anything to get that flower." Jake promised his chocolate brown eyes melting into mine
"I don't understand why you care so much" I said
Jake shrugged "It'd look bad if I couldn't rescue you myself"
"Care more about your stupid ego, dog?" Snarled Liam fangs bared
"It's none of your business." Jake replied
Jake lifted his hand towards my face but was swapped away by Liam
"Don't touch her" he growled
"Don't touch me!." Jake snarled
"Don't fight!"
They both looked at me
"Don't you dare lay a hand on him you stinky dog." Serena threatened fangs bared
Kate walked towards me and started cleaning my bite.
"Everything will be ok" she murmured
All of a sudden I had a piercing pain in my head.
I screamed in pain
"Tori.....TORI!"........ I heard someone shout
And I fell into darkness.
