Chapter 4

When we drive in the car there's nothing but awkward silence, you hated it. Car rides with harry usually wasn't like this, they were usually very cheery and mostly joking around. You thought off all the good times you and harry had, and what was gonna come. What he was gonna do after high school considering the fact that you were a year behind him. It all seemed so sudden when you thought about it. You had spent your whole life with him and now you have to let him go and that was the part you most afraid of.

"Do you ever think about it?" You ask to break the silence

"Think about what?"

"College, where you're gonna go, what you're gonna do.." You stare out the window

"Yeah, I figure I stay here, go to college here, wait for you." He looks at you

You smile shyly "why would you wait for me?"

"Because, you're my best friend. We grew up together. You're something I couldn't let go of no matter the circumstances"

You'd never think he would come to say that. You always knew that you had each other's backs throughout the years but you never thought that him saying that would mean so much to you, especially right now.

"I've always thought you were gonna put that angelic singing voice of yours out there" you tease

"Nah" he smiles and shakes his head "I think that being famous is stupid, I don't need that" he looks at you.

"But just think of the opportunities you would have! Tons of girls after you if you know What I mean" you wink at him and you both laugh "get to travel around the world. You'd get the once in a lifetime deal"

He looks at you and grabs your hand "would you do it with me?"

"What do you mean?" You look him concerned

"If I waited a year, for you to finish high school. Would you come with me, and travel with me?"

He parks the car and looks at you as you unbuckle your seatbelt "why are you so hung over that I have to be with you? " you tease him "I mean I'm not complaining or anything but seriously" you say as you get out of the car with him.

Before he opens the door to walk inside he said something that you never would've imagined to come out of his mouth.

"Because" he looks into your eyes "I'm in love with you, (Y/N)"
