Tom pov

I cradled Tommie bear in my arms it was show and tell today! I was so excited I could show everyone my best friend in the whole world! I walked along the cement pavement, kicking along a rock as I walk to school. I reach the part of town where there's a bunch of alleyways in between some boring colourless buildings, I'm so close to school but I stop in my tracks as soon as I hear sobbing coming from an alleyway. I tiptoe to the sound of the sobs and cries, and to my surprise I see a boy that looks about my age. "Are you ok?" I ask innocently.

The boy points to his knee, "It hurts.." he whispers barley audible, I look at his knee and gasp as I see that his knee is bleeding, it looks painful, I've skinned my knee a few times playing with Matt and Edd. So I know how to treat it, I shuffle through my bag and I find what I'm looking for, I hand him a bandaid "Can you put it on?" He nods and unwraps the packaging and places it on his knee, wincing as he does. I grab his hand unexpectedly and pull him up and wrap one of my arms around his shoulder for his support "What's your name?" I ask "Tord" he replies, this is when I notice his thick accent it doesn't sound like he's from England at all. "Are you from here?" He shakes his head and says "Norway" he answers.

"Do you know where your parents are?" He breaks down into tears as soon as I finish my sentence,"O-Oh It's ok..." I rub his back trying to comfort him, "You can come to my house, my Mom won't be home so it's ok." I know skipping school is bad but this is for a good cause! Me and Tord walked back to my house, He told me how he lost his parents and was chased down by a bad person...

When my mom came home I told her about it and she called the police.. Tord went home.. I didn't see him at all over the weekend.. I had to admit I really missed Tord, Edd and Matt are at some play that their parents made them to go to, I asked my mom if I could go too but she said it was too expensive..

Sorry that it's short.
